This card would be cooler if your opponent had to divvy up the spice, like with Fact or Fiction. In hindsight, that "cycle" is weird in how inconstent it is in who gets to divide and who gets to pick.

I agree, but it's still an interesting mini game for both players.

This card is awesome. It is trivial to reanimate two creatures, but you also can get back five in the late game. It's a fun interactive card that rewards synergy and can make for incredible come back stories.

I just took this out of my cube as well, I'm surprised I was able to forget such a beloved pet card ! (actually no, it just doesn't come up with basically any of the common language used on scryfall that I used for refreshing my memory about reanimator).

I'm desperate to make it work but my group doesn't ever seem to draft it. Maybe the solution is that I just start forcing it myself, it's undeniably a hugely powerful value card.
