I ran w-wargate in my alpha list for funsies. It got picked a lot but never really did anything but be super bad search for tomorrow, but it got picked a lot so I hesitated to cut it for far too long. People just kept trying to make it work.

I too love the wonder of green sun's zenith being brought to more colors and permanent types, but 3 and X is a steep STEEP cost
I ran this before bonfire was released, swapped it for bonfire, then cut miracles and brought it back in. THEN no one wanted to play it, so it got cut and now rotates with violent ultimatum.

I remember in full block Alara draft, there was this urban legend of people who would go into Jund colours for the first two packs and hope to open one of these back boys in the third pack. Hey, LSV said he saw it, so it must've been real.
One of my favorite EDH decks I've seen was a Phalddagrif deck which was just a fog deck. It did nothing at all and nobody could kill it.
