I very much agree with that. In magic the rules text has two purposes:I think Keyword Trading Post is a perfect example of why that style of wording doesn't work for Magic.
If that were a Hearthstone card, you could hover over the card and a nice pop-up would show up that would explain exactly what each of those words mean. For Magic... well, you're shit out of luck.
A: Tell players what a certain card does.
B: Tell players how a certain card works.
In other digital games the game itself enforces the rules - in magic the rules are negotiated between the two players. Just think of the earliest time you played magic with some friends and all the made up rules you were playing by. (I killed my opponents creatures by equipping Skullclamp)
