Extrapolate the Impossible Considering literal Demonic Tutor is kind of iffy in cube at times, I can't convince myself that this card is actually good, but I do really want to believe, because this card is just cool. Lich's Relic I might swap out the kamigawa demon blade for this. It reads a...

Twinned Vision I was going to post this yesterday but the image didn't import, shocked no one else beat me to it still. Hybrid Think Twice that turns into Thrill of Possibility on the backswing, plus some marginal upside if you impulse draw into it. I'll certainly be adding this card.

Probably cubing this. Sweepers are kind of boring and shoehorned to control decks, but I feel like it's important to have some just so there is some punishment for just putting everything into play. This one is admittedly extremely telegraphed, but it being a dinky little 2 mana trinket before...

Proft, Sinister Mastermind Still don't really care for this set but Wring Flesh that you can unearth into a 5/5 is fun.

Silumgar Scavenger Lighting Coils Ghost Lantern Body Launderer I feel like a card like Comet Crawler would work as a direct sacrifice outlet, in terms of requiring effort, Gnarlbark mostly does it for free each turn. The -1/-1 counter synergies are cool though.

Card/Deck Broken cards for lower power

I do not need a taxonomy of cubes that categorizes them into pizza, burgers, pudding, cheesecake, paella, ramen, English breakfast and whatever else, I'm good with this one word. Plus soup for when I want to be a bit more diplomatic.

Card/Deck Broken cards for lower power

There's nothing ironic about it, slop is the most appropriate word I have for it. It's a nondescript collection of fairly powerful and sufficiently affordable cards with no clear design goals or identity. I don't bear it any ill will; I find it reasonably fun to draft, and most people would...

Card/Deck Broken cards for lower power

Slop is an immaculate word that effortlessly filled a hole in my vocabulary that I am now elated to be able to express. Your reductive view of it is your own shortcoming.

Card/Deck Broken cards for lower power

I was thinking about Aether Vial recently while drafting my friend's powerslop cube as well. I think it can give some pretty cool archetypes and play patterns, but it's reliant on getting down early, so it's not that exciting to trinket mage for it so you can use it more consistently. So...

    General Updated cube vocabulary

I'm going to challenge these concepts a little (because of course I am). First of all, there's the sentiment that enablers are contextual and payoffs are inherent. I don't know why this distinction is all that useful to begin with, but I don't even think the dichotomy is true. Let's take...

General [HOB/HOC] The Hobbit (Eternal) Testing/Includes

Not sure I'm including all of these, but cards I'm looking at: Lake-town Lookout The Queen of Dale Great Gilded Boat I really like recruit as a keyword, especially as a way to give white some looting. I'm generally really wary of cards you just play and get value out of, but I think The Queen...

    Sets The Hobbit

There's several in the UW sets including Duskmourne having two at common and two at uncommon, so it sounds more likely that they've just decided to give blue more vigilance.

Master's Councillors This guy is pretty cool, turbocharges your graveyard in blue delve cantrip strategies, grows to a 5/3 for 2 fairly quickly, has vigilance for some reason.

I don't know why it's ok when Planar Chaos, Phyrexia, or Modern Horizon does it, but everything about this set just feels so fake to me. I'd actually really like a Mother of Runes variant that discarded a card as a cost, but I'm not paying 1 mana on top of that.
