Have you cast it or seen it cast? How would you say, does it compare to e.g. Honored Hydra?

I think with Sontaran General in your cube, you start and stay at 0% coolness.

Lunar Hatchling Has anyone ever cast or at least thought about this card? I wonder if this is the {g/u} selfmill signpost I want, because it is a direct payoff for milling yourself, unlike Kishla Skimmer, which is strong but only a payoff for doing a payoff, essentially.

I think frontloading them like this is more apt when you understand occasionals as mostly "narrow, cool buildarounds", but not at all necessary when they're also combat tricks, tricolor cards, utility lands, interchangeable curve toppers, morphs, etc.

Hmm. Maybe I should put Charging Monstrosaur in my Occasionals. It's the kind of card that I like as a brutal surprise, that will only actually come up like once a year but will put some fear in peoples minds even when it wasn't in the pool.

Joking aside, that's kind of what I wanted to imply. These cards look very solid, I don't think you need to do that michvat all to make them playable, unless your list it seriously broken power level.

I would highly recommend trying this. My drafters have already voiced their excitement for these new possibilities. And while you're getting more variety and all that, you are also making everything more lean and consistent - that's less exciting for drafters but really nice for us as designers.
