Yeah, I guess it kinda sucks to play with low effort proxies, but they should at least allow mpc quality.

We're still far away from the US with hundreds at cubecon (and god knows how many small events). But at least we can bring proxies for main event cubes! (Unlike cubecon, as I learned. Wth, man.)

On my way to Cube Open Potsdam. It's really cool that we now have three regular, yearly grassroots cube events in Germany. And maybe soon it'll be four.

It's just that there are like 30k real magic cards to choose from, so I don't think any cube needs alchemy proxies.

Stoic Grove-Guide This card is kinda interesting at second look. If you loot/rummage/mill it to the gy it's like a bear that draws a card. Pretty cool lower powered card.

I like the idea to combine these two seemingly opposing themes through heavy hybrid use. Not that devotion is not the only way to mechanically care about one color, stuff like e.g. Cinder Pyromancer exists.

I think Tasigur is stronger, since it's also one mana (or one exiled card) cheaper. However, I would prefer the fish. It has more synergy hooks apparently for being a zombie, it doesn't limit you to sultai colors and it reads cleaner. Three big advantages that make up for the maybe slightly...

I'm happy none of the designs really speak to me. Don't like the looks of this "return to new york" set.
