    General "Looking for a card"-Thread

To me midrange is more value oriented than aggro/tempo but more proactive than control. And both of these creatures seem like a great fit. I've also came up with Dismissive Pyromancer and Inferno Titan for both ends of the curve. Not sure if there are any spells beyond the burn you'd play in...

What are your favorite red midrange cards printed before 2019? I can only come up with Flametongue Kavu. And now Siege-Gang Commander.

Where did I say Velrun as a person was stupid? Are you actually factually attesting every change in magic to ub? If so, that would be a stupid action and I stand by it. But you know what? I've done stupid things before and so did people smarter than both of us. I'm not apologizing because I...

Let's make an agreement: you explain to me what part of Hobbit lore is responsible for large bear having reach, and then I will explain to you my "stupid" statement. If you still then think it's an insult, you will get an official apology.

Oh right, heard about that one on LPR. That's enough encouragement for me to go down that rabbit hole now...

I have a new cube idea, but I still have some rest of doubts. So my inspiration was to have a cube that feels much more like constructed. I've been eagerly following the MTG Goldfish Best Standard Deck Ever series on YouTube, and it reminded me that constructed magic can be really cool...

Oh, please tell me which part of The Hobbit lore is responsible to give that bear reach! :) Ask Lumra, Bellow of the Woods. Or similar earthbound creatures with random reach like Dusyut Earthcarver or Fecunt Greenshell or Fang-Druid Summoner.

Ask Large Bear. Exactly. It's fine to be critical of UB but attesting every change to it is stupid.

I don't think that's true. This set has a few fishermen as a 6/5 with ward and Ordinary Bear who eats Smaug the Magnificient in combat. Actually, I wish they would do bolder top-down designs and not hold onto mechanical needs that much.

I don't know if I underestimate the fail case of you not having anything relevant to bounce, but this card seems kinda decent to me. If you support both a blink and a landfall theme, this can work in a variety of decks. I don't think this would be like a high pick, but it could be a solid...

This could actually be an interesting role player. It kind of fits into all my red archetypes. It's a goblin or even two. It's decent if you discard it. It's a non-creature spell. I kind of wish this one was hybrid because it's so flexible, yet low impact, but I think the rate might be just good...

    General Gruul Aggro-Madness

Yeah, Faldorn is kinda perfect. It's a discard outlet that adds board presence and even does so when you madness something from another outlet. One nitpick: it might not be clear to everybody that a madness card is actually cast from exile. Especially the older ones don't mention it on the...

It also helps that we don't get these ugly metallic ub frames anymore

Honestly, I sometimes forget that the set is UB. Cards just look like magic cards to me. Unlike Aetherdrift or Outlaws.

Screw you, wizards! I support prowess and goblin type. I have done a few scryfall searches on goblins that care about non-creature spells, and so far I found essentially nothing. Now they print this, and it's kinda perfect, but I really don't like amass. It's a unique token, and it's also...
