I'll go with the synergistic Bone Shards. I tried to find room for both but right now I can't. I just cut a card from each color to expand my colorless section and black was already the toughest color to trim from.

I don't know how much you can actually count on the bots knowing what they are doing. After a draft I checked what the bots have been drafting and they've named a slightly weird black grindy sacrifice deck: Black Tempo. Maybe they don't really know what they are doing actually.

Last fight club before the next cube event, I promise Bone Shards Sheoldred's Edict I like that Bone Shards has synergy hooks with sacrifice and reanimator, but it also doesn't work well in every black deck like Sheoldred's does. I kinda like Edicts too but I dunno.

Yeah, just looking at two-card interactions, playing Talrand on curve and then immediately triggering him before they can interact seems like the strongest thing you can do with Probe in my cube.

Gitaxian Probe Could this card be problematic at lower power levels? I know it's in vintage cubes and such but it doesn't do anything. I was looking for colorless instants and sorceries and there really isn't that much. It's just that this card is worrying me more than, for example, faithless...

Dawning Archaic I just realized that this is a cooler, colorless version of Sailor's Bane. Probably slightly worse in my cube actually, because it has no removal protection build in, but still worth the swap I think.

I'm convinced. Tbh, Venser actually seems like a perfect example of cards I love cubing with: clean textbox, despite it's simplicity though it's flexible and skill testing; it has weak stats and is somewhat old school. Weird that I never even thought of trying him.
