I run Monastery Mentor, but not YP and Iconoclast. I don't run Sedgemoor Witch because I've found the "noncreature" trigger a lot easier to build around than the "instant or sorcery" trigger. Chrome Host Seedshark is a bit too much for my liking. I don't necessarily want a 2/4 flyer with upsides...

Flash is on a separate line because it affects spellcasting, whereas the other keywords affect the creature's abilities on the battlefield. This is standard practice. A good example to look at is Angel of Salvation, where flash and convoke are on the same line, because they both affect the...

The moose is such a dumb stat truck. I hate vigilance on big bodies like this. Like, cool, first you are going to surprise eat an attacker because of the flash, and then you attack for 6 a turn while keeping up defense... Ok, this may actually be a pretty good stabilizing tool for value piles...

I have been staring at that card, wondering why they made a functional reprint of Reprisal and missing that “or toughness” the entire time!

I am a bit sad about the "buff non flyers" theme in birds, because I'm always looking for upgrades to my Derevi bird tribal deck, and these aren't it.

The Wildfire deck got played, with Hugs and the custom I designed recently, and the guy who drafted it had a lot of fun with it. Hugs was okay according to him, but not super good.

You know what? I am actually drafting my cube tomorrow, I’ll throw in Hugs and see how he plays!

I love hugs and I also love this card! I might try him! Seems like a natural fit for… wait for it… Wildfire! :)
