I played it though sadly not much because I don't have the coins to do it. I haven't been to impressed, it feels a bit rough.
I like that it makes a serious attempt towards synergy-building. However, I have found the actual design of the archetypes to leave much to be desired. You have many...
I really believe the Soratamis are extremely weak. They have a massive drawback and weak effects. If I'm drafting control, I don't want my win condition to be a 1/4 flier that requires me to armaggedon myself to mill the opponent. Compare it to Millstone. Do you run a low enough power level to...
I would take Wavwes of Aggression. It's the more interesting card and 5 mana for an "overrun" effect is fine. Moraug isn't going to get played in aggro because he requires 7 lands to be useful. Even then, he's weak on its own terms. It's a non-trampling 6/6 that only shines with other creatures...
I've been thinking more about white four drops with a look towards midrange and control. Since I'm making proxies, I'm thinking of printing all the candidates and testing them out:
Mangara, The Diplomat Trove Warden Ojutai Exemplars
Mangara is kind of bullshit. However, I've gone through my...
No, but Onderzeboot suggested Palace Jailer. Which I like despite its high power level, the issue is introducing Monarch into the cube. Not sure I like that.
More changes and cuts. Most of these cards aren't really played or truly necessary:
Metallic Mimic Retrofitter Foundry Lightning Phoenix Kird Ape Fire Imp
Metallic Mimic is just more human fodder. The deck needs no additional help. There are several cool combos with Kitchen Finks and you...
I have but I'm looking for a creature. I want something that beefy that helps control. I like cards like Mangara the Diplomat, but it's a complete fuck you to aggro. Ojutai Exemplars is cool but it seems hard to remove, baneslayer-ish and I would rather have white control play differently. Super...
I'm really glad to hear that Dom. I love seeing your decks, they are very inspiring. So yeah, perhaps things are better than I thought! I actually went and built the non-red decks you build and they are a ton of fun. I'll see how I can improve things a bit while keeping those decks in the cube.
Thanks a lot Nanonox, seeing those decks help. I'm afraid I'm not the best drafter so I tend to believe I need more "synergy" than I actually do. For example, I think I need more discard outlets than it's really necessary.
Still, I would see if I can tighten things up. I like how Body Double...
I just took her out because she just stalled the game by flooding the board with 1/1 tokens that couldn't attack. In general, I'm cutting down the amount of tokens in my cube dramatically so I'm not even sure why I look into Keeper of the Accord. One of the issues I'm trying to fix with my cube...
I can see that. Sorry, I'm attracted to durdling too much. I'm looking for something midrange and control heavies might like. Aggressive decks just take Ranger of Eos or any other 4-mana topper so they don't care what it is.
In my cube I run 4 reanimation spells, two of which are standalone (Animate Dead, Necromancy) and two of which are more demanding or value-based (Unburial Rites, Dread Return). This means the Reanimator deck is common but not always present.
I'm looking for cool 4-mana white creatures that aren't Emeria Angel. It's not a slot that is seeing a lot of action so feel free to make any suggestions.
Is this actually good? I like the effect and the crossover between aggro and stax, but that statline seems rough. I plan to nerf my removal a bit but it still seems too much:
Hokori, Dust Drinker
