    One Prophet's Ravings

There once was a prophet from Hanweir Who turned his lands into thin air His methods were mad But there's much to be said For more gas in your 3D square -anonymous, probably http://www.cubetutor.com/viewcube/37689 This list is quite stunning. But hardly 1st or even the 4th coming of change...

Sometimes you give a mouse a cookie, and then fail to provide him with the sweet milk of fixing to enjoy that cookie. And all at once, when he's midway through pack three, his draft is ruined. This has happened to me more times than I can count. Thirty Seven Six Eight Nine

These are hardly the only paths to salvation, friend. We must still Search, Unafraid of what we may find! This is a compelling argument. I will cede to you that fixing lands need not be boring. But we Can Do More!! Lands can be exciting because they fix your mana, AND because weave into...

    General Too Many Lands

Your post was too long and I haven't read it yet. However, this proposition is abhorrent to me. Duals are poison! The problem is still that there are too many slots in your packs being devoted to boring picks. I think proposition would probably alleviate a lot of the symptoms of too many...

This chills me to the bone.... There is no basic spells box. Perhaps there should be? There is a basic lands box. Perhaps there shouldn't be? The desert cube is a monstrosity, but an innovative one

That's it! Shocklands are poison! This is something I can get behind. Give the control decks signets, cut the fixing lands, and add a big pile of aggro cards to give the 1 and 2 color aggressive strategies the consistency they need to compete.

This is an excellent argument, and I agree in principle. I know the exquisite pain of that last cut. I simply disagree with the conclusion that ~5 picks need to be dedicated to LANDS. There are plenty of other things that those picks can do: Conspiracies (something I know a great deal about)...

Perhaps The Great Solution just hasn't been found yet. Or perhaps it has been found before and lost. That analogy doesn't really hold up. Limited and Constructed are pretty different beasts when it comes to mana. The only formats with truly lavish mana are vintage and legacy, and...

Steam Vents Talrand, sky summoner If you just felt that dark temptation to take Steam Vents over Talrand, then you have too many lands in your cube, and the diversity of your environment will suffer. However, you make an excellent point about the importance of chromatic diversity. Chromatic...

A deplorable sin that I know only too well..... Chromatic star cultivator's caravan These are beautiful visions of things to come. I am particularly enamoured with Prohetic prism for some reason. But is artifact based fixing the only path to salvation?

And then one day, all your negligence starts to catch up with you. One day soon.

    General Too Many Lands

You have already seen the light. You shall be spared. In my experience, the wonky decks are less stressed by their mana than two color aggro decks or greedy control decks. I agree that abandonning a fetch-shock landbase will weaken the relative power of splashing a color. But this is only...
