I think cheat-into-play targets should be desirable picks in their own right, which means other drafters who aren't on the reanimation or Natural Order plan are interested in hard-casting them. Coming up with {4}{G}{W}{W}{U} is too tall of an order for that. It makes it a very narrow pick.

Maze of Ith was too pickable around here, too useful for not requiring any color commitment. My honest take on Startled Awake is it's probably a trap in most lists, but having never tried it I have to defer to those who have.

Engulf is cool but doesn't play well with cube mana bases. Increasing Confusion is awesome because it's a win condition by itself, a resilient one since it's strongest when it's in the graveyard. Startled Awake looks like stinky jank.
