Funny you should mention Odyssey. One of my friends who would be playing this cube adores that format (3xODY, that is). But yea, these designs are pretty experimental and strange.

TBH, if WOTC could redo flip cards, they would probably make them double-faced cards now. There's more text box space, there's more art space, and it doesn't look as ugly. (Just a design perspective.) Also, Vulturous Aven looks like a great deal for Limited, but it's not flashy and exciting...
