Also agree with this as well as Soul's Attendant,Essence Warden,Centaur Healer,Behemoth Sledge, and Loxdon Warhammer. Although I'd only add the latter 2 equipment provided you have a reasonable enough amount of artifact hate.

Have you considered Standstill to help bolster your blue aggro?? I know the merfolk decks played it for awhile in legacy because you could just go 1 drop standstill and attack with your one drop and your lands. It also forces opponents to make very awkward decisions.

I really think you should give Birthing Pod a try. It's one of the most rewarding decks to get together if you love value. I played it in standard almost the entire time it was in. Infinite combo's aren't needed to make this card a real delight.
