General What are your favorite cards??

These are kind of random. But I really like all of these cards. I like simplicity, flexibility, power, and good aesthetics. Though, I can't guarantee these cards have those things :). Isamaru, Hound of Konda Lingering Souls Restoration Angel Wrath of God Snapcaster Mage Sea Gate Oracle Meloku...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

I really wish he had 2 power. Also seems fairly likely he'll get burnt with your burn spell on the stack. Overall I'm thinking cube may not have enough burn but I guess it depends.

General What are the best green cards in your cube?

Ok I've got to ask. Why is primeval Titan good in cube? Surely I don't need to ramp from 6 to 8? Do you have to run a bunch of utility lands for him to be effective?

General What are the best green cards in your cube?

Let's do both. Thanks for the input so far!

General What are the best green cards in your cube?

I think green in my cube needs some help. I'm thinking about shelling out for a Kalonian Hydra or even Berserk. I just need something to help green finish games out against opposing Baneslayers, Grave Titans, Tamiyo, the Moon Sages, hordes of tokens, and such. I play a lot of creatures so cards...

    General How many basic lands?

Good aesthetics is actually one of my primary design goals. There are cards I won't play because they have ugly art. I ain't even ashamed.

General Decks that have 3-0'd your cube

That actually really helps me understand why Maze of Ith is considered oppressive. I mean, it's just a Minister of Impediments, or a Fog Bank. The key, I think, is it secretly has hexproof. That and costing zero.

General Decks that have 3-0'd your cube

I love the Sphinx of Magosi. No resilience, no etb triggers, but if you untap you've got your money's worth. Draw two, 8/8 flier, rawr! I'm planing on adding more bounce and counters for blue. Daze seems like it's going to be really good. I liked the Phyrexian Rager mainly because he was a...

General Decks that have 3-0'd your cube

I drafted by cube with 8 players for the first time. A few of the players were pretty new to Magic, most had never cube drafted before. I think everybody had a lot fun. They're already asking about when we're going to play next. Some of the feedback: too many beefy 5's and 6's. Aggro needs...

General How do you balance hybrids?

Can you explain why I shouldn't play Rakdos Shred-Freak and Double Cleave in my cube? What's makes them "bad" or "wtf"? Do you mean low power level? Bad gameplay? I can try to explain my reasons for wanted them included. I'll start with Double Cleave. My cube is light on combat tricks, and I...

General How do you balance hybrids?

Thanks for the input everybody. What you're saying makes sense. Thinking about this a little more... hypothetically if you built a cube with 70 white cards and 50 of each other what would end up happening? Sure, after one draft perhaps nobody would notice, but over time you would probably see...

General How do you balance hybrids?

I started out with X cards per color, Y colorless cards, 2 gold cards per color pair, and 1 hybrid card per color pair. Perfect balance. My boros hybrid was Double Cleave, but soon I realized I wanted to add Figure of Destiny and Boros Reckoner. I really wanted all three cards in my cube but...

General How to make red aggro more fun

I seem to have a hard time find good red 3 drops. That being said, he's one of the best in my cube. He's a little awkward when you aren't full out aggro, since he prevents you from drawing more lands. Feeds Grim Lavamancer though.

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

What's do you guys think of this guy? Ulvenwald Tracker I like him.

    General Cross Mechanic Transparency

Reminds me of the slightly awkward, but effective redirect-player-damage-to-planeswalker rule.

General How to make red aggro more fun

I personally, think mono-red aggro is pretty fun. Almost by definition it's the fastest, most aggressive deck in a cube. It's also the most consistent way to lay down early damage since you don't have to worry about supporting two colors during the early turns. I like having mono-red as the ever...

    A place for feedback

Hello! I'll dig up my old thread here... Still using CT, its still awesome. I thought of a new feature request. It would be cool if there was a way to save off a version, or revision, of the cube. So... I'm happy with my cube so I click a button.. "Save Revision" or something. Then maybe I...

    A place for feedback

The curve analysis is probably my favorite feature, but I've always suspected something was wrong with it. I finally realized that it counts "x" in mana costs as 5? This made it look like I had too many 6 drops. Maybe added a column for x? Also is the FAQ page linked anywhere on the site? I...

    A place for feedback

I think it'd be easier and cleaner to make swaps (something I'd guess many people do very often) if the "edit list" had a "swap cards" line. Each text box would have autocomplete: "Suggest Replacements" is pretty cool, but most of the time I know exactly what I want to swap.

General What did you buy for your cube today?

Blood Scrivener Frost Titan Hellrider Inferno Titan Ogre Battledriver Thornling I like creatures I guess.
