Card/Deck Ahadabans Newest Least Favorite Card Ever

I'm not sure if this card has a purpose in Legacy or Vintage, but as a cube card, this is pretty unacceptable. The -2 is a card in and of itself and considering how good the +1 one is, it basically reads "feel really bad about thinking it was ok to play the artifact you drafted." I mean, some...

    FlowerSunRain's Cube

I'm pretty excited for my next update, but I'm still mulling over whether to increase the weight with some new draft rules to improve consistency, bloat the size a little or just shave back to the bone. Some things could include: 1) Fixed first pack that includes essential cards (literal...

    Sets Journey to Nyx Spoilers

In early magic, the only black targeted removal was terror, paralyze, ashes to ashes, weakness and the difficult to find obulette, so paralyze has a really powerful niche in black aggro. Nowadays there are tons of options, even at {B} so I guess paralyze is a little forgettable, but if you can...

It reminds me of Paralyze a lot, which was (and still is) a good piece of removal. In exchange for a 1 mana discount on the "upkeep" you can't cheat around it (or just untap to keep a blocker). You could definitely run this and not be embarrassed.

    General Fixing the Die Roll

I'm perfectly ok with decks losing to aggro if they fail to interact at all with the opponent for three straight turns. That seems fine. Even just nuking one of the decks threats will slow their clock by a couple of turns, which in turns gives the deck more opportunity to develop and answer. Its...

True story: my dad won a local Type 1.5 tournament with a deck that maindecked 4 cemetery gates and 4 pestilence. Magic before the internet was popular was so weird and awesome.

Was this the black wall I was always looking for in my Pestilence decks?

Mogis has the same body and has been kind of weak, but his ability doesn't actually help trigger devotion. Iroas keeps dude on the table AND white removal actually adds to devotion. I think we're on to something here. . .

I'm putting together my buy list. Someone convince me that or are worth buying!

    General Multi-Picks

I do the same system and I can tell you it hasn't been a problem. However, draft tension is about the lowest priority on my list. Remember, I don't even put lands in my cube and draft those separately, so scrambling for playables is something that just doesn't happen. If you are ok with that...

    Card/Deck Black Sheep

Preacher such a strong card that I have happily run in the past and would certainly consider running again in the future. Most decks need to remove him or lose, though sometimes Kher Keep can come to the rescue. Very swingy, but very fun, the perfect kind of "guest star" card that drifts in...

    Sets Journey to Nyx Spoilers

Well, the constellation cards are somewhat lackluster, so I'm guessing if they were more pushed they would have ruined limited or something. The fact that if you have a bunch of them you could get lots of triggers at once could be an issue in constructed, but there are a lot of sweepers around...

    Card/Deck Black Sheep

Free Free spells are amazing. My cube can't support Snuff Out because its too much of a blowout and Contagion is almost as bad. Being unable to cast an aura even if the opponent is tapped out is too stiffling. It's certainly a great card, but watch consider your environment!

    Card/Deck Black Sheep

Harm's way is so good and it seems so obvious that its good that I didn't even think to put it in my list (I do play it). In exchange for a slightly restrictive casting window you get a shock that also stops two damage, which is sometimes just a 4 life swing for {W}, but can also be huge card...

    Card/Deck Black Sheep

They're both good, but I run all of 4 artifact creatures (and 2 artifact tokens) and over 50 black creatures (and more then 2 black tokens), so Ashes to Ashes is definitely the right card for me.

General "Sacred Cow" or "Cube Staple"

Me neither. She's probably the best one, but the flying and extra colors on Birds of Paradise has come up a lot. Just last draft birds busted through with an Eidolon of Countless Battles over a groundstall.
