General 'walkers and "everything costs 4"

I'm running an extremely high number of enchantments in my cube and a pretty low number of cards that blow them up. Will this be a problem? I'm thinking/hoping it won't be, but we'll see. I mean, even if I was running more enchantment hate 60% of the colors would be fucked anyway.

General 'walkers and "everything costs 4"

Its true. There are certainly more, say, 4 mana white creatures that I could run then would be healthy for my cube to run. This is also true for 2 mana black cards that kill stuff, three mana green enchant creatures that make stuff bigger, etc. I think thinking "I need to limit planeswalkers"...

    Card/Deck Cleric Tribal

If Shamans counted as clerics I think I would be able to pull this off, but as is I think running the sanctum in the utility draft is as deep as you need to go. Its a pretty useful land. Maybe Rotlung reanimator too, but Xanthid Necromancer is kind of the same thing for a bigger tribe. Cabal...

    FlowerSunRain's Cube

Thanks again for the Mark of Fury suggestion. I got it in a 1v1 grid draft deck today with 4 ways to utilize it. My next minitheme is going to be enchantress. I realized I run an obscene number of enchantments and a bunch of cards that combo well. Argothian Enchantress and Enchantress...

I can't stand playing with sleeves, I can't help in this conversation.

    General stock cube biases

It was the discussion on multiples that drove me insane. When someone said completely seriously that the desire not to run functionally identical/obsolete cards would "hamstring aggro" I completely flipped my lid because this same person advocates not running multiples WHICH IS THE EXACT SAME...

    Article ChannelFireball: Utility Land Draft

Whether you do all the lands like me or just the utility lands like Eric, I highly endorse the idea of doing it all at the end. Not only is up less time consuming, but you don't signal your deck with your picks, which is why my playgroup prefers it that way.

    General stock cube biases

Amen. The Roshambo paradigm has a true root. It is generally true that you will have an advantage in a game of magic if your deck is much faster or a little bit slower. The problem is when people expand that from generally true to true in a specifically tuned environment and attempt to...

    Jonas 360 Cube

I definitely don't think you need that many lifegain cards and Loxodon Warhammer is already in there and Kitchen Finks does Centaur Healer's job already. Essence warden/Sledge could be a good idea though as Pridemates can really only excel in Black/White right now

    Jonas 360 Cube

Have you gotten a chance to play since the changes? How has the mutli-pridemate done? It seems that you basically have to play them with the double tithe drinkers, but it looks like a really fun deck. I recommend attempting to stuff a soul warden in there, she's a good card and really pushes...

    Marwatt's 360 cube

Any man who cubes pestilence is a man I want to cube with. I regularly lament that the direction my cube has headed has pushed that card out. Does it work for you? Desecration Demon seems like superbestfriends with it. I love Kor Duelist and I think you have enough equipment to make it work...

General Giving White things to do

Jason: 4 and I'm pretty happy. I do not do the double fetch thing and I run Steppe Lynx and it still does enough work for me to be happy with it.

General Giving White things to do

4/5 for one mana is slightly above the curve. The fact that it will sometimes be 0/1 later is the game is not too meaningful when your opponent is dead. 20 Fetches is key to this happening consistently.

    FlowerSunRain's Cube

I can't do math and realized that my cube should be 488 cards in order to cover the maximum number of draftable cards in an 8 player Westchester Draft, which is sweet because now I have 8 more cards to put in. 32 + (24*19) = 488

General Does Anyone Actually like Traditional Black Aggro?

I completely agree. Anyone who has said black is shitty in cube was probably running it as a mishmash of random cards, while their red section was 100% aggro (and maybe an Inferno Titan and Wildfire) and their blue section was 100% goodstuff.

General Does Anyone Actually like Traditional Black Aggro?

I thought red/black aggro that goes Carnophage -> Hymn -> Stone Rain was a pretty good deck. I assume the that goes Firedrinker Saytr -> Hymn -> Stone Rain will work just as well assuming the mana is there.

General Does Anyone Actually like Traditional Black Aggro?

My problem has been that running a largish cube that is generally underdrafted, my fear has been that without having those crappy black aggro dudes people would attempt to draft aggro decks in red/white and flounder if they didn't have black as a fallback to poach from. Now that I've cut out...

General Does Anyone Actually like Traditional Black Aggro?

I'm talking about that deck that runs Carnophage into Sinkhole. Does anyone like that deck? I've cut back on the cards for this deck recently. Sarcomancy is gone, along with Nether Void and Dauthi Slayer. In have come all of the sacrifice/graveyard superfriends. I'm tempted to just finish...

~130. Yes, we draft them Rochester. The correct number is still in flux. We've done 6 and 8. I'm not sure which is better.
