How about must, but each use instead of each upkeep?
Tap: Add a charge counter, add x mana of any color and lose x life, where x is number of charge counters
Agreed 100%. Stokemaw is mostly unnecessary, though I may run it for two reasons:
1. Its sweet.
2. Its decent sorcery speed removal.
I think 3 mana is hard enough. I'd only run it as a second copy of squee for variety, not it place, but I'm not going for a 2nd copy yet.
How many custom cards is too many? I'm thinking I don't want there to be more than 2 per pack in general, which my horrible quick math puts at ~50/360. Unknown cards make it harder for new drafters. I do try make my cards fairly easily to grok and to evaluate their power level, though
I don't know how I never saw Volcanic Cascade in your gallery before. I'm stealing it. I like that its sort of an arc lightning that more aggressive decks still like.
Considering this, also:
Strive — Volcanic Sprinkles costs 1 more to cast for each target beyond the first.
Volcanic Sprinkles...
Are these OK?
Sting R
Sorcery
~ deals 1 damage to target creature.
Draw a card.
Toxic Rodent B
Creature
Sac a creature: put a -1/-1 counter on target creature.
1/1
Yeah, green is the support color for everything. And it does it without being splashed for removal all the time.
Tokens, Sac, Ramp, Fixing, some aggro dudes, Curse of Predation, Fatties for Reanimator, etc
