I don't know if Pain Seer is worse than Ninja or not(probably is), but it is a good comparison. I think I may errata Thunderblade Charge to 1R and run it. I don't like strictly better or worse spells very much, so I refuse to run Volcanic Hammer alongside Searing Spear, but this would fit nicely.
