I'm pretty stoked that Secure the Wastes has synergy with: Furystoke Giant and Burn at the Stoke.
Otherwise it is just worse than most of the cards mentioned by Onderzeeboot. A little bit better than Tempt with Vengeance at least !
Best of Khans of Tarkir:
Altar of the Brood
Milling your opponent in cube isn't used too often and this bad boy lends multiple ways of milling your opponent.
Fastbond + bounce land / Aluren + Cavern Harpy / Koth of the Hammer + Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded + Cloudstone Curio / Intruder alarm +...
Aggro is really good in my cube and our group does play aggro when the picks lead that way, but usually i don't see black aggro that much, so i decided to cut some of the early drops from it.
Gravecrawlers are really great still because you can combo off with them in so many ways :)
Pre-release weekend over. Sundays games went a little better and my deck was a little bit more sweeter.
Went Silumgar and opened a pre-release foil Sidisi, Undead Vizier. Also had all the parts for real exploit madness like:
2x Palace Familiar, Dutiful Attendant, 2x Vulturous Aven, Silumgar...
I think one thing Delver of Secrets has going against it is, that people don't have fond memories of it in constructed formats.
It is a creature that kills way too easily in the right setting and is oppressive to play against in a constructed environment.
Aluren was the only one that no one...
First Dragons of Tarkir Pre-Release and 2 cube plays are behind me.
Pre-releases went pretty horribly, 1-3 drop. Luckily i can go to another pre-release tomorrow.
But i opened a pre-release foil Ojutai's Command and i got a pre-realease foil Myth Realized, Narset Transcendent and Shaman of...
qarsi sadist
Just realized that you can exploit the creature itself also...
Hmm, maybe exploits can lead to some serious combo play with Enduring Renewal...
Next up i am observing what a classical control could look like.
This one is a bit tricky, because you could be control in any color, so i try to keep it under blue, white and black.
Countermagic:
Removal and mass removal:
Card draw/card selection:
Finishers:
I think that the...
Yeah, i haven't really laid everything out when i have been changing my cube. This is my first attempt on laying everything out there so that i see if i actually made an archetype work.
One of my concerns is that my cube will become too combo oriented.
But at least there would be that other end...
After the painful trip to Storm-land, here is:
Wildfire
Wildfire
Wildfire
Best cards to ramp with to get Wildfire going (+bouncelands):
Creatures wild enough to survive the fire (finishers):
Seems fine to me. I've played Wildfire with 2 copies in the cube before and it has...
Most hated archetype in this site comes next ?
Brain Freeze
Mind's Desire
Storm Entity
Grapeshot
Empty the Warrens
Ignite Memories
Tendrils of Agony
Hunting Pack
Engine to build up your storm (non-aluren or enduring renewal):
Before i "broke the singleton", storm was doable in my cube...
Number 4:
Reanimate
Exhume
Living Death
Animate Dead
Dance of the Dead
Necromancy
Feldon of the Third Path
Sneak Attack
Obzedat's Aid
Body Snatcher
Cards that dump targets to the bin:
Targets to Reanimate:
Good ol' reanimator should have a place in this cube i think.
Enough...
Third one is:
Goblin Welder
Goblin Welder
Trash for Treasure
Daretti, Scrap Savant
Cards that dump targets to the bin:
Main targets for Welder:
Artifacts to swap for main targets:
Hmm, might not be enough reanimator-level targets for Welder.
Next one:
Enduring Renewal
Enduring Renewal
Enduring Renewal
Sacrifice:
Creatures to Combo with:
Non-creatures to combo with:
Pretty healty amount of stuff that goes with this plan also.
I think Enduring Renewal is also used just for value rather than just to combo out.
Reviving...
Counting stuff for each main strategy.
First off:
Aluren
Aluren
Aluren
Non-creature nuts and bolts:
Creatures that makes infinite spell count easy:
Creatures that Oozes with value in this strategy:
Looks to me that Aluren is pretty much covered at this point.
You...
American Football set in the Warhammer universe. It is Turn-based
When i started, i didn't know anything about American Football, and i haven't played any warhammers, still i got hooked to that game really hard.
I heard that Blood Bowl isn't as hard to learn as Warhammer, but Blood Bowl still...
I have a holy trinity that started around 2005 (10 years after i started to learn about MTG).
MTG, Defense of the Ancients (1 and 2), Blood Bowl (pc or tabletop). I have played each of those games more than i maybe should have :D
Oh and now that i think about it, i have played each of those...
First thing that popped into my head: Oblation
Stuff used with prowess seems interesting to me. White has options for that:
Shelter, Unquestioned Authority, Abeyance, Aura Blast, Dismantling Blow, Defiant Strike, Pressure Point
