    General Mana Sinks

Amonkhet has been great for mana sinks, and I think a good part of why people are liking the draft format are the mana sinks, that rarely let a game go to topdeck lottery. First the embalm creatures, which are in general pretty good. Then, the aftermaths help a little as well. Last but not...

    General Pancake Draft

https://joost.vunderink.net/blog/2013/03/21/pancake-draft-cube-draft-for-two-players/ Just tried this for the first time and it was the best 2-player draft I've had. The only modification I made was using 8 rather than 9 boosters per player. 1. Make 8 or 9 11-card boosters per player. 2. For...

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

2-->8 actually Roiling Waters Hoverguard Sweepers I'm not sure either if Withdraw is low power. That thing creates some nasty blowouts. On one hand, high power envs tend to have more ETB creatures, so bouncing two of the opponent's creatures is less advantageous. On the other hand...

    Sets Hour of Devastation Thread

My guess (and I might eat my words in a few weeks, but oh well) is that Torment of Hailfire is bad. I, too, like the uncommon Torment better, though it's probably not great either. I'm pretty excited at Rhonas's Last Stand, that might become a green stompy cornerstone. Nimble Obstructionist...

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

The answer might also be: Undo Into the Void Whiplash Trap Has anyone cubes any of these though? They look good if there are few ETB creatures, but unplayable otherwise.

I think Supreme Will is pretty strong, but it's not card advantage. The two effects complement each other very well since you can keep mana up and decide whether to counter something or dig. When the 3 mana becomes irrelevant, Impulse is at its best.

General Life Begins at 20 - YT Channel

I would love to read a case study of triple INN, as I did not play limited at the time, but everyone talks so much about it. What were the layers of archetypes that were obvious and what were the hidden ones? How fast was the format? How powerful? How good was removal. How beatable were bombs...

General Life Begins at 20 - YT Channel

It's not really about fair vs unfair decks. When people are playing Thragtusk, your Arrogant Wurm looks silly. It's more of a power level matter.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChyrX2-e2eRV2Vi6dsf63dw Came across this channel today, it has some pretty good content about cube. In fact it resonates quite a bit with the discussions we've had here, so it might even be one of you. Plus, it's a great channel name.

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

I played him in TSP draft when I was on Grixis Control. I though "when else would I have a chance to actually maindeck Nicol Bolas in limited?" Connecting a hit with Bolas became the goal of the draft, and I achieved it on my last match, with suboptimal play. He's terrible. I'm sorry. Maybe at...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

It never did much for us. Didn't fit in any decks. Control doesn't want to discard cards, aggro doesn't want a 3/4 prowess for late game, burn doesn't want a curve topper that at best draws 3, midrange doesn't want to play that many spells.

    Article ChannelFireball: Microsealed

Haven't tried it yet, but I definitely will give this format a shot. Any ideas to make the shuffling mechanic less decision intensive though? It's quite spikey. So, 15 unique card decks is like a 60 card decks with 4-ofs, with very consistent draws. I suppose that's why it feels like brewing.

Keyword soup is fine, I like Akroma. This, though. It doesn't make any sense. Looks randomly generated.

    General Vampire Madness Aggro

I dislike how "Vampires have madness" is only useful in the intersection of Vampire decks and madness decks. In this case, the card is fine by itself, but it reads bad and takes up mental space. It's like Tavern Swindler, reads like a drawback in most decks even though it's an upside, irrelevant...

This Gideon at least doesn't snowball. Not that it's fun, or anything close to fun, it simply looks worse to me.
