    General The Draft Exchange

EDIT--Whoops, looks like I took to long. Next person can draft cstick's cube since I don't have anything on cube tutor. Woah, small world. I go to gatech. I haven't been out to play at the student center for a while since real life(tm) kicked in. From cube tutor stalking, it says this is Ben's...

    General Blue creatures

I think this is generally true. When I go into a cube blind and draft blue control, all I want to see is card draw, counterspells, and bounce. Normally, I expect my finishing tools to come from the other color(s) I draft. That being said, it's not how blue has to be. Those are just expectations...

The draft: Ended up building this: To the next poster, feel free to pick anyone in this thread since I don't have a cube tutor link.

    The Danger Zone

Sealed Decks And here is a deck that went to 2-0 in our last sealed (we only had 3 of the 4 people) http://imgur.com/P9gc0cX So I'll be honest. If low powered, wombo combo synergies are your thing, this deck probably caused you to puke a little in your mouth. Recurring nightmare with...

    The Danger Zone

Oh no! I was worried this would happen. Morph was removed from the cube after this posting but before I updated the post. That being said, removing morph didn't make as big of a splash as expected. White and green got more cards for existing archetypes, so in practice, the cube plays the same...

General Print this Wizards! (So I can put it in my cube)

Maybe I should have been more concise. Onderzeeboot was asking about the power level/playability of his land. I was trying to make the point that with lands in 10 card cycles, especially when the effect fits into any archetype, the power level of a lands design can more loosely fit your cube...

General Print this Wizards! (So I can put it in my cube)

The first part is something I just fixed in MSE and hadn't been an issue because the card was played as intended. As for the second part, I was pointing out that from my experience, you can have very strong effects attached to lands without breaking a format. The shocklands I posted are better...

General Print this Wizards! (So I can put it in my cube)

My gut reaction says that if I was playing an aggro deck, I would be very sad to see this come into play on my opponents side of the field, especially if they had managed to play a defensive 2 drop the turn before. That being said, given a high enough power level, it might still be ok. I've...

    Site News Cube Lists Subforum

Sidenote: I completely agree with pretty much the whole post. I keep meaning to post on other people's cubes, but I'm getting buried this semester, so I haven't had time. I really like the idea of a draft exchange thread, and I think that posting decklists from actual drafts is a great way to...

    General Fight Club

I agree with this. Cards like drown in sorrow and anger of the gods are mediocre against a lot of midrange decks, but they absolutely crush aggro. Normal board wipes are at least more generally playable in the decks that want them. If you want black/red to be more viable control colors, less...

    General Fight Club

In my experience, fact tends to be exciting for both players. Dig is good (well, just better in a lot of cases), but doesn't lead to the minigame of sorting piles.

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

I agree that they're probably a little weaker over all than fastlands, but I like them. I can't put my finger on it, but something about the design just feels better than the fastlands.

How about a card that makes you want to play a non aggro red deck? (and isn't just a damage based sweeper)

Here's a big dump of all the blue 2's that I have. I don't know what's appropriately costed for your cube, so feel free modify any that seem interesting. (also, I'm really lazy about finding new art/names)

Full disclosure: When I read it, I didn't realize that the wrath needed to have delirium turned on. It still seems strong, but nowhere near as good as I originally thought. Please carry on.

Sure, but I think the evasion still makes it a pretty big upgrade to rebirth. Also, my experiences with magister have been with traditional control decks, not blink/reanimator decks. The card is a beating and the new board wipe looks like more of the same without the color requirements.
