    General Bad Idea: Cutting Colours

You do? I would have never guessed it ;) One thing you do miss with cutting white are white's pacifism effects and creature exile effects, which are a nice subtle way to provide graveyard hate without running oppressive or narrow cards.

    General Blue creatures

The thing with blue aggro, is thats its not aggro, its aggro disruption. You pretty much never want to be curving out with dudes, but instead relying on bounce and counters to disrupt the opponents game plan, while cracking in for damage. The mono U delver decks in pauper have really no hard...

    General Blue creatures

Man-o'war is a bit sensitive to his environment i.m.o. Not every environment benefits from tapping out for turn 3 disruption on a 2/2 body. He was terrible in my old cube, but pretty good in the current one. The thing with most blue 3 creatures (tempo wise), is that while I can fill that...

    General Blue creatures

Pretty much all of blues best generically powerful tempo cards are all fours, with a few exceptions dungeon geists somnophore venser, shaper savant sower of temptation talrand, sky summoner riftwing cloudskate Kira, Great Glass-Spinner Everything else is very finicky, requires some...

    General The Constructed thread

It works for me. He says he runs the miser boros charm in the main because he hasn't thought of a better card. The sb boros charms are for "when you want to become a bad burn deck" and he also says they are for when you have dead cards in the main you want to board out, or get in a grindy...

Yeah, once you realize that its just a super awkward edict effect (and edict effects can be awkward already), you stop running it.

    The Penny Pincher Cube (360)

I think you are probably right about Qumulox, I just missed it when going over gatherer! I think I also like dragonscale boon over spidery grasp, if it comes down to space issues, though it might be nice to have both. Right now I will put boon in over grasp. For the blue bounce, right now 3...

    Card/Deck Green Three Drops

Why do you think it hasn't been very good for you? Curious, as I was thinking of running him.

    The Penny Pincher Cube (360)

Thanks modin! I wanted to sort of flesh out the blue section, since that tends to be the hardest one to do because of space restrictions, and let me know what you think about the path I went down. Originally, I wanted there to be a fun blue disruptive-aggro deck (aka tempo, aka aggro...

Because this way you can cast it EOT, untap, and sequence out a couple spells; its much much better as an instant.

    Pete's 450 Unpowered Cube

To echo Eric a little bit in regards to strangleroot geist and experiment one: I don't think those are particularly good cards to patch in. Not horrible by any stretch, but a bit narrow without a focused effort on green aggro. Strangleroot really benefits from good mana due to its CC, and...

    The Penny Pincher Cube (360)

Thanks Modin! I think i'm going to stick to the singleton limitations and price restrictions for now, but I will provide sort of an addendum of cards that are cubable. Grand arbiter augustin IV, for example, is only being excluded because of his price. Crypt champion is a really good idea. I'll...

esperzoa etherium sculptor Are these guys cubeable? Without breaking singlton in large numbers. Ezperzoa seems like it just sets you back unless you are playing with a few etherium sculptors. Etherium sculptor is maybe too poisonous? On the other hand, they were good in MMA.

Flamespeaker has been a bit of a let-down for me as well. Its kind of a narrow card; only really fitting into low curve red decks, which I find don't really need a card advantage engine to begin with. My red section can be very controlling, but thats because so many of the creatures in my cube...

Its cool, everyone is different; i'm happy with a 50% flip rate in those types of decks. I just really like this shift towards spells on WOTZ's part.

I guess what I am trying to say, is that traditionally delver has been bad in cube because limited tends to be very creature-centric, and delver has never been strong enough on its own to shift people towards spells. However, when you suddenly have a bunch of these spellfocused 2 drops in white...

    Sets [FRF] Fate Reforged spoilers

Thats the beauty of delver: you don't need 2 drops, or an aggro curve. Just jam him into any blue deck with counterspells and randomly win games. :D Though with all of those prowess creatures, delver might be less niche now. You have young pyromancer in red, soulfire monk and monastery mentor...

    The Penny Pincher Cube (360)

So, I have the stormish archtypes split into UW flicker/ramp and UG "untap lands" ramp, with some ways thrown in to go infinte. The UW deck can run a sort of flicker disruption deck as another theme, while UG can use + + counters. The UG deck seems like it will be easier to go infinite with, but...

Static orb is worse than winter orb i.m.o. With winter orb you can at least break it with mana dorks/mana rocks and have the game move forward. Static orb is just miserable.
