I always want to make a Commander cube as a way to avoid Rule 0, but making a four player game for my newer players seems so overwhelming. We typically have 2-3 inexperienced players per pod.

Ok. I can see that. Looking at what's out there. I'd say those two ain't it, but Warped Devotion fits into the described deck. Annex a bounce is also BRUTAL.

Maybe with artifact lands. @Nanonox I'm not sure why you'd want to punish a bounce land. It's not like it's super powerful without being checked by your format. Warped Devotion looks fun and could probably be cool in a UB deck of some sort, too. Monster Recoil.

Adding commentary as I draft: Nimble Obstructionist is super annoying to try to fetch against. I always find that the OG duals have so little splash-cost attached to them. Not a fan, personally. Picking Thragtusk feels really unfair at this power level. There seems to be a lot of life gain...

Maybe, but those 3 are gonna be 1-2 of my 3-5 Gruul cards. It's a competitive slot. A lot of the definitive ideas and numbers are waiting on MH3 to show me the other Eldrazi. It's killing me to wait.

Raggadragga is a really sweet idea, but competes with grand warlord radha mina and denn, wildborn spellbreaker behemoth for a slot. I have high hopes for Forsaken Monument with MH3 coming.
