Glad someone's doing something with this. I floated an idea the other day about making Legacy Manabases a thing in Cube for free but it didn't go anywhere. Let me know how this experiment works out.

It's a power-level thing, too. Jhessian Thief dominates games of Origins and will never see play in Standard. Sea Gate Oracle was about as good in Rise draft as it was in a Standard format with Stoneforge Mystic and JTMS. Plan for your Cube accordingly, but Sea Gate Oracle is the more flexible...

I for one like Counterspell. It's about the right power level for my Cube. Rather run 4 Rune Snags before Deprive, bouncing a land is real bad in this format compared to Legacy, etc. I also dislike Daze in Cube and compulsively play 4 in Legacy all the time

Fetters is really good and I would never consider cutting it I don't care for Threads

I wouldn't cut Hellrider or Red Hero. My playgroup literally cheered (around two years ago) when I threw in the Hellrider in addition. Both cars together are great fun.

oh come on it's way better than alchemist's refuge and some people play it in modern all the same, colorless lands have a really high opportunity cost in literally any cube. nephalia drownyard always makes the cut, though.
