    General Custom Cards: The Lab

I like this one, and I think I'd probably add a line saying that when [CARDNAME] leaves the battlefield, remove all collapse counters from permanents you control. Otherwise you'd end up with a bunch of counters that don't do anything on all your cards.

General Emotional Spikes in Cube Design

I wouldn't play Wasteland in a format with bounces but I like it well enough in traditional (Fetch/Shock/ABU) manabases. I mean, you can always fetch basics if you don't want to get Wasted, right?

Did you know this was originally meant to be the art for Aethersnipe? http://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/lorwyn-elemental-swaps-2007-11-28 Anyway I don't actively avoid Fear/Intimate but I don't run a lot of cards with the ability just because it doesn't appear on very many good...

Second one might be a bit much, given it's at least Negate with what could be a pretty bit upside with Spell Mastery. I think that version at {2}{u} might be OK? I can't really tell how narrow the last one would be in practice. It seems great vs Black and Red, maybe alright against White but...

General Emotional Spikes in Cube Design

I don't agree that tight technical play and emotional spikes are incompatible. For me, the strongest engagement with the game comes when I think I'm close to locking up a game through incremental advantage and I just have to fade two draw steps to close it out. I don't think that it's the act of...

General Elegance in cube card selection

I was looking through a friend's cards for some stuff for Pincher cube and I came across Shackles. It might serve the same function as Prison Term, but I think it reads a bit better and has the bonus of being a repeatable heroic trigger in a pinch. What do you think?

You could also play Coiling Oracle (the best creature in Modern).

I don't know why you'd ever cut Wall of Omens, the best creature in Modern, from your cube.
