    General Tapping in Cube

Far and away my favorite tapping effect in cube is: pacification array (In no small part due to trinket mage-ability)

General Creating a synergistic cube, as opposed to good-stuff

I'd say there's a good thread on that here: http://riptidelab.com/forum/forums/cube-talk.5/ In all seriousness, though, this is a very broad question. To laser in on one piece of it, to lessen the format feeling like it's on rails, have more than one thing for each color pair to do. Masters...

    General Most Satisfying Finishers

Some really fun stuff was talked about in this thread: http://riptidelab.com/forum/threads/making-control-decks-more-interesting.1268/ Seeing gifts talked about piques my interest re: "The Baron" being talked about by grillo several times recently. Making "The Baron" work at a slightly higher...

    General Most Satisfying Finishers

Rev is the same style of finisher as Upheaval, at a more fair power level. It doesn't win you the game, but it resolving increasing your odds of winning by a major-to-tremendous margin, regardless of some specific combo with the draw effect.

Man WOTC is on fire with equipment these days. Menace is superb, and it's not crazy powerful like wargear. Nice!

    Card/Deck The Orzhov Syndicate (WB)

I thought Jason put a monumental effort into making the lifegain deck work, and the outcome was that it really doesn't work that well? For me WB is a perfect place to foster a death and taxes style agro deck. Like so: www.cubetutor.com/cubedeck/815077[/url]"] Ones 1 Bloodforged Battle-Axe 1...

    General "Looking for a card"-Thread

It's definitely ok to have two, different, versions of a "counterspell one-drop" creature. I'd say just drop the one-drop slot if you don't really like anything. Blue really doesn't need it for a tempo/agro deck in the colors to work. As your deck above illustrates, the archetype will happily...

    General "Looking for a card"-Thread

Hypnotic Siren probably never gets cast for {U} ever. Will probably be removing it for that reason and replacing with another steal effect. Second the sentiment there are not that many good U one drops on purpose. Not every color is supposed to have aggressive one drop creatures, and this...

Rough draft of deck I'm tinkering around with for road trip funsies at GP Toronto, based on Dom's shell Ones 4 faithless looting 4 lightning axe Twos 4 grim Flayer 4 goryo's vengeance 3 life from the loam 1 collective brutality Threes 4 seismic assault 2 footsteps of the goryo 1 eternal...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

At 360 (1) cards, I'm not even sure you need/want another of this effect? I might put, for instance, another reanimation effect before a sixth of this kind of effect, especially considering you also have a variety of plain discard effects (Rotting Rats etc)

The Penny Pincher Cube 2.0--Inventors' Fair

yeah that's perfectly fine; I think the Tome is probably a "safer" test subject, as it's a clean and simple effect/card. Whatever way the cookie crumbles, colorless looting will be a tradeoff. None of it is as good as on-color looting as of yet. Something like Insidious Dreams might be an...

The Penny Pincher Cube 2.0--Inventors' Fair

If you are replacing a creature slot (not that that means much), the Deal Broker Alfonzo mentioned is nice. Not having a cost associated with the looting is a major upside here. Not sure if you don't want draft shenanigans or something.

    General Basic Lands

In the nonland section I 100% agree with this sentiment. My Cubetutor list is a rainbow of "upgraded" versions (alters etc), and I enjoy a variety of printings besides. I think the only thing I really have strayed away from is foreign and textless. I like my drafters to be able to read the cards...

    General Basic Lands

Lol. I do go for a diversity of arts, but I really aim for the uniformity in style. All full art lands is nice looking as far as I'm concerned, and they are also easy to sort out of decks at the end of the day. I hope they decide to do the "one full art, the rest regular" again to help...

The Penny Pincher Cube 2.0--Inventors' Fair

Green-centric control is probably my favorite thing to have figured out for my format, its just super great. One of my drafters built a UG ramp-control recently and swept the table with it, and it was awesome. A key player was definitely deathgorge scavenger, which provided a critical life...
