Oh- I thought penny for your thoughts meant you wanted me to expand upon what I said. I'm sorry for the confusion :).

I just think that excludeing targeted discard like thoughtseize from an environment is a perfectly reasonable design decision. Someone said "Good cards lead to good gameplay" and I was trying to illustrate that good cards aren't always good at fostering fun environments. A lot of people do not...

    General Green four drop creatures

Then they might think there's an actual food deck even more than if the wolf was just alone  Gilded Goose and Gingerbrute are just fine by themselves. They're good magic cards!

    General Green four drop creatures

When you have literal 14 year olds in your playgroup sometimes you have to ignore cards with flavor text and just be blunt  You're right about this card though. It is way better than it looks, even without the foodstuffs.

For those of you who don't use targeted discard because you don't think it's fun- I just spent 20 minutes trying to defend you all on the MTG cube brainstorming discord against a bunch of spikes who seem to think black would be crippled without Thoughtseize. I don't even not run targeted...

I have it in the cube but I've only had one draft since it was added and I haven't seen it played yet. It is good in any Llanowar Elves deck.

    Sets (M20) Testing/Includes Thread

Glint-Horn Buccaneer is still fine. I'm not as hot on it as I once was, but only because it turned out to be a little less good in generic aggro decks as I thought it would be. Tomebound Lich is way less interesting than other options for U/B, especially if you want to support discard matters...

How about 2 or 3? I like 2 the most, but like Onderz pointed out, 3 has the most Magic-y art.

    Brett's Cube 2025 Edition

If you're looking for aggressive green 3s to follow up a t1 dork, I can see the following being good: Rhonas the Indomitable Boon Satyr Great Sable Stag Jadelight Ranger Lovestruck Beast Predator Ooze Prowling Serpopard Selesnya Eulogist Troll Ascetic Just to name a few.

    The Coliseum

That's ok! I'm interested to see if I can adapt some form of the prefix-suffix idea to my own projects in the future. It looks really fun!

    General Green four drop creatures

First- let's examine the role of 4-drop green creatures in the cube. Green's primary strengths are the abilities to accelerate mana quicker and play higher quality creatures than any other color until the late game. A green deck, as such, is either trying to ramp or use big green guys to top...

    General Cultic Cube video series

Parroting back what I said in the Youtube Comments of that video: I get that WOTC wants to showcase some of the powerful new cards they've printed in the last year, but adding a bunch of War of the Spark cards 8 months after the set came out just to add War of the Spark cards seems really...

Let's cut that list down to: Agent of Treachery Frost Titan Mnemonic Wall Draining Whelk (He already runs Mulldrifter and Torrential Gearhulk...) And let's add... Whirler Rogue Wing Splicer Riftwing Cloudskate Cavalier of Gales Dream Eater

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

I'm really not into using one of my Gold slots on a Smokestack variant. I don't think 4 real enablers, almost all of which cost 4 mana, is really enough to make a deck work.

Can you explain to me how your Potion mechanic works? It looks pretty interesting.

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

Are you talking about the Coliseum? If so, maybe our dinosaur friend's lack of play has something to do with some of the new mechanics you've implemented. I'm not quite sure how everything in that cube works, but it looks pretty cool. Onderz might also be having more success than you because...

Sets [THB] Theros Beyond Death *SPOILER*

Usman said it was good on Twitter. I'm looking at trying it as well. 4 mana for a 4/2 that doesn't cost you a card to play seems pretty good in my opinion. The "drawback" isn't something that most decks that would play something like this care about- they want to be swinging in and hitting anyway.

    General Magic:Legends

Quick question- have you ever played a "free to play" game with heavy microtransactional elements? These games are so fundamentally warped to encourage the constant purchase of loot boxes where that you pretty much can't play the game reasonably without paying up. They have things like "waiting"...
