    Card/Deck Creature lands

I run them, but I have more room for fun lands. I can remember a game where a giant Lavaclaw ended it in a swing or two after a long battle. Quagmire is a cool 'removal spell.' Vent is decent attacking or blocking, but a little weak. I don't own Tar Pit, as it was kind of expensive for a while...

Not gonna lie, squirrelmax sounds super appealing. Big fan of Earl of Squirrel.

    Sigh, again?

I'd agree that it's not usually worth a multicolor slot for a reanimator target. I'm a fan of going colorless so that ramp, reanimator, sneak, or whatever else can share the same pool of cards that most decks aren't interested in. I keep most of mine in black, which is practically the same as...

    General [STX] Strixhaven Spoilers

I was eyeing Arena the other day for being a little slow and was gonna ask my fellow Zur Gang member about it. It's still got the devotion angle for me, but... I've just got better draw options. I have a few cards I don't run due to this consideration. Everyone using the exact same sleeves...

What's the purpose of the slot? I'm not thrilled about monocolored lands with drawbacks. Something like Castle Garenbrig could be a cool green land. The two color manlands are great because the cost of coming in tapped gets you some fixing, as well. Not super hot on either, but Treetop does...

    General [STX] Strixhaven Spoilers

Feels like Phyrexian Arena will usually be better. Arena guarantees the card every turn. Arena can't mix up players cards. Arena costs a life, but you're likely losing some life if the opponent is attacking, anyways. Your mana base is plenty good enough to support the BB, and Arena reads a lot...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

RW could be made to have blink be more significant. japahn's suggestion of Twilight Shepherd seems sweet as hell. Flashing that in and persisting it back sounds so fun. RB can use the same creatures to Sneak as it would to reanimate. You can also shift a lot of your big creatures to be...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

You can kind of use Sneak as a weird discard outlet. Don't forget you can blink the guy to keep it, too. It's got a lot of play to it and can be neutered or buffed depending on the format's available targets. That said, your format may suffer too severe of a neuter or buff, depending what else...

    General Pack Size

I didn't read any nerd math yet, but I think this nearly sums up the concept. More cards means more choices. That's more skill testing and will improve card quality, but also more time consuming. As a result, the "right" answer will depend on your playgroup. If your mates know every card and...

    General Fight Club

Falkenrath is WAY stronger. To a point that could be detrimental, depending what you're after. It protects AND buffs itself at the same time and can still attack. That can be very irritating, depending on your removal suite and your desired power level/format speed.

    The Black Cube

Looking at the list probably is inherently daunting because there's no true multicolored section to browse to see what the archetypes may be. The graveyard isn't really an archetype as much as it is a feature of the format. That said, I'm definitely trying to see if the black centric build can...

I think the gets to the core of my problem with how Funch is approaching this. He's acting as if there's one thing to consider. Birds to Oko. WotC scared of Elf. Elf good. Rest bad. What about Birds to anything else? Maybe WotC is scared of Llanowar Elves for a more nuanced reason than...

I feel like the second paragraph boils down to: Flexible, pushed cards are good. Natural Order is better than Cruel Ultimatum. Which... yes. I feel a bit like we're talking past each other here, because a lot of your posts seem to tie back to Legacy, something most of our cubes are totally...

Another thing that really interests me for lower power cards is that there are so many more cards in that part of the bell curve. Sometimes I want to do something closer to powermax just because there are fewer cards to consider. It's what I did when I first started and it was pretty easy to go...

Texas cards are so cool, but not all my players know every card. :( Can we get a range of emotions expressed by Brushwagg for emotes?

While I can't attest to their side of it, I can definitely say that I anecdotally get disgusted by pushed cards and immediately dismiss them. Conversely, I often imagine cute uses for lower power cards, even if I'll never use them.

How many can we have? Is there a limit? Is there a way to track usage? Do we get rid of everything but Brushwagg?

I think it's critical to realize that comparing Legacy to a cube where Noose Constrictor is the best two-drop isn't going to align on card analysis. Ideas from Legacy could port to that cube, but the cards have a much lower chance of doing so.
