    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

I think keeping it in is a good choice :). Constructed and cube play out very differently, even if two particular of those formats are close in power level. Its a huge mana and time investment in a cube environment. Have you gotten a chance to play around with/test: ashling the pilgrim? Its...

    Sets [KLD] Kaladesh Spoilers Thread

This seems like a pretty sweet ULD include, right? For anyone with even slightly above average artifact count it can be a solid include, at least. Lets a drafter go into a cool UB tezzeret deck or whatever, and pull this sweet supporting land later. Nice!

    Card/Deck Format defining crap removal

A nice spell, but not even close to 'crap removal'.

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

It does seem like the perfect environment to maximize the ability, and 7 mana draw 5 is costed the same as Mind Spring at that point. But instant speed and repeatable. And from the grave.

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

Exactly this. Love being able to pitch them to a looter or something and still use the spell effect (and have it be worth it). I'm currently on red and black as well. White was overbearing if it stuck around. Blue just seems soooo expensive. But it neat. Green seems like the weakest one.

Seems pretty damn viable to me :). Your next turn is gonna be so solid, with either a Kicked See the Unwritten or your Choice of Avenger/Dragonlord. Dang.

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

Show and Tell looks... difficult to balance, at best. Just looking through my list, some of my payoff cards for stuff like reanimator and Daretti break S&T right in half. Biggest Offenders I can see in my list are: griselbrand myr battlesphere with a lot of close contenders like sphinx of...

    Card/Deck Format defining crap removal

I definitely agree with this line of thinking. Cost is about balancing. That's development, and is used to make sure a format runs smoothly. Restrictions or flexibility/power tradeoffs are design, and that's how you can help make the format richer. (Not a black/white distinction, obvs) One of...

Grenzo may be cool, but there's a lot of little things stacking up against him for me. Goad is probably foremost amongst them. I really dislike that it's not spelled out, and it's just a pretty stupid mechanic besides that, imo. I like Ash Zealot better for my environment.

    Sets Conspiracy 2 Spoilers Thread

I think Conspiracy was a little slim on new includes for me, which is perfectly fine for a reprint set. The two I'm looking at right now are: recruiter of the guard Borderland explorer But I could see a couple more finding their way in. I'll have to reevaluate the set a bit to see what I find...

    Card/Deck Format defining crap removal

sunlance Curse of chains Aether spellbomb Blessed alliance Common theme is granting flexibility over raw power. I'm a big fan of this theory, using narrower or slightly worse removal to make out-temping an opponent a little more of a puzzle. Think it's a neat way to grow deep and fun decision...

    General Eldrazi Domain CubeTutor decks

I think this theory holds water, I have been running into this issue since I put my cube up, most likely because I pick lands highly. As an ancillary note: how does the AI know what color lands to pick if you just have them mashed in the 'lands' blob? Does it have a color identity still, or...

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

At this point I'd have to see it to believe it. I only see drawing it on turn 8 and being a very sad panda... yeah maybe I can mill the. 6, 9, 12 maybe... wooo? In certain situations it might work, but I totally think that Sorin's Vengeance dealing damage makes all the difference. Every time I...

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

I don't really like Brain Freeze. For me it's just like Viridian Emmisary it might work decently, but it's not really "shaped" right. LSV knew what to do with it, but would any random Joe? It isn't about if we can step away for it being a Storm wincon, To many it is just "that storm wincon"...

General MTGO You Make The Cube

I think a touch of singleton breaking may be a component of the "creativity" that riptidelab can put forward. WotC is looking for a solid product, and this is a creative way to improve formats and solidify archetypes, so I say it's totally fair game

    General Fight Club

I do like the Displacer a lot. It might be repeatable, but it does tie up quite a bit of mana to do so (mana with a barrier to entry at that). I also think the lack of ETB helps balance out the repeatability. I did have a fun game once where I held off a Drana, Liberator of Malakir for several...

    General Fight Club

I'm not sure Goblin Bombardment is the villain we are looking for, to be honest. Basically along the lines of what the Emotions thread is trying to get at, why take out all the slightly swingy cards? This is a neat and valuable way to give a closer and some reach to Rx decks. Sure it's swingy...

The Dandy Cube (Chris Taylor's Cube)

...I'm gonna have to ask for clarification on this :P. I'm guessing there is one more clause that didn't quite find it's way into this sentence. Very interesting choice in any case. I'd never put Grave Titan in my cube, but I hope it works for you!
