    General Fight Club

Nitpick: It should be "Activate this ability only on your turn." Good design though! For what it's worth, I've really liked Makeshift Munitions in my cube, it's a solid card! I run it and Weaponize the Monsters as my two Bombardment variants in my cube. Weaponize is surprisingly solid...

I'm not really interested in a cost reduction mechanic with awkward requirements, so not me.

It's crazy how much people undervalue these. It doesn't matter that they only tap for one colored mana, because they tap for your missing color of mana. They also allow off color splashing out of the sideboard, because there's virtually no downside to running these over a basic land. Suddenly...

To which I counter: - Recurring the Spellbomb twice actually takes a turn more. When you're digging for answers, what difference do an extra turn or an extra 3 mana make unless the answer happens to be exactly on the top? - You typically crack the Well on your opponent's end step unless you're...

Witching Well is deceptively good. I'm not sure it's actually worse than the Spellbomb. The scry is relevant early, and Inspiration is a solid enough option for cashing in later!

    General Custom Cards: The Lab

Yep, the wording does indeed address that. Also, no, you can't use madness itself, as that mechanic lets you cast something you discard for mana, and you can't cast lands, nor do you pay mana for them to play them. There's, mechanically, a huge difference between a mana cost of {0} and no mana cost.

Madness and Dark-Dweller Oracle suggest the following wording: If you discard ~, discard it into exile. When you do, play it or put it into your graveyard. (You can play this land this way only if you have an available land play remaining.)

In my cube I've found Herald to be overwhelming beatstick and Master to be a gleeful build-around.

General Petition to Nullify the ‘No spoilers talk’

I'm not personally bothered by seeing spoilers outside, but I can see why others would, and I have no problems keeping spoilers to the appropriate thread for those who like their prerelease to be a surprise! Edit: To clarify, that's neither a yay, nor a nay. I don't have any personal strong...

Oh no! This thread uses square brackets, and the testing includes thread uses round brackets! I also like this set quite a bit, but it will take some figuring out what I want to include. It's not like I am in any rush, seeing as I'm not organizing any drafts at the moment...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

The main problem with the card is that it "does" nothing. That is, you invest 3 mana (and probably all or a good portion of your resources in a turn) to put an artifact on the battlefield that can make Gray Ogres. It's great at upgrading land in the late game, but most of the time you will be...

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

In my experience it's completely fine. The lack of vigilance makes it less obnoxious, and it's a lot easier to remove than some of the other blue finishers available (e.g. Frost Titan, God-Eternal Kefnet, Deadeye Navigator).

I completely agree. I preordered two nonfoil of each, but only because I'm not investing in these things. I could have bought 10, because these will easily be more expensive than the roughly €3 they are now. €5 for the foils is a pittance, I expect these to see modern play even. I believe...

https://blog.cardkingdom.com/playing-tap-lands-in-aggro-decks/ Of course there's a limit to how many taplands you can reasonably run, which is why I'm a big proponent of aggro-friendly duals. If you run fastlands and shocks, you have some room for these fantastic mdfc's. If your environment...
