Article Top 8 Most Oppressive Cube Cards

yeah, armageddon and vortex always lead to interesting games over here, i wonder why they don't work elsewhere. the funny thing about void is that abrupt decay still costs 2!

Article Top 8 Most Oppressive Cube Cards

yeah i've never played with void so i'm not sure how i feel. seems like a tough one to support though outside of a jason-esque black section. ankh of mishra: yep, forgot about that one. how do we feel about zo-zu the punisher?

    General Blue Aggro?

So what I think is that Blue tempo fits better in the gestalt of the Cube, since it requires fewer blue creatures. You and I seem to agree that there are not enough good Blue creatures to support Blue aggro in Cube, as it would require cutting too many sweet Blue cards. I mean, it seems absurd...

ooh memory adept is a good one. i guess i didn't put it on the list because everybody knows it's horseshit? fwiw i hate upheaval and am an active fan of armageddon

    General Blue Aggro?

(constructed perspective) as i understand it aggro v. tempo is -a subtle distinction in terms of how these decks operate -- tempo plays a more interactive game, whereas aggro is concerned with goldfishing anyone before they get set up. you could call tempo control in this regard. -some other...

    General Blue Aggro?

kranny's article is a classic -- that being said, i once attempted this in my own cube, but it didn't work that well. i disagree with many of the card choices, as the list requires a whole bunch of bad blue creatures to prop up some really powerful blue spells. i.e. why bother playing blue...

    Article ChannelFireball: Utility Land Draft

eric: i agree with both you (the damage vs stability tension is fun) and nwo (the damage drawback is annoying). for me i think i don't run 'em because then there won't be enough fetchable lands.

I haven't tried JTMS in my Cube, Beleren is nuts in mine though so i'm a little hesitant. (memory adept is an obvious exclusion, while architect of thought is most likely kind of bad) I didn't put jace on the list because of the stuff you guys wrote above glad you guys liked this!

    Eldrazi Domain Cube

my group has been happy with 15 fetches and 15 shocks (doubles on enemy-color) in a 405, and moving m10 lands to the funsies land draft edit: in a domain list i agree strongly that you want some more shocks.

    Article ChannelFireball: Utility Land Draft

i would be concerned with this taking a long time practically. like when we get together for impromptu cube sometimes we forget about the utility lands and then i put them on the table and people take their faves. shelldock was a little excessive so i shipped it back to the main cube

There are no nouns in Tlön's conjectural Ursprache, from which the "present" languages and the dialects are derived: there are impersonal verbs, modified by monosyllabic suffixes (or prefixes) with an adverbial value. For example: there is no word corresponding to the word "moon,", but there...

    Card/Deck [SCD] Rosheen Meanderer

oh you know the odd lily tick-up now and again. if you can find the final video of the paul cheon recorded ptq on cfb i recommend watching it. it's a real treat to watch him thoughtseize (perhaps erroneously, and i should say after playing very well to get to the finals) into mpod's 3-card hand...

    Card/Deck [SCD] Rosheen Meanderer

you guys are being silly. of course it's bad within the cube gestalt, even ours where we consciously do not power-maximize (unless it's some kind of pauper cube). jason! how can you say that and post at the 4-slot: -a hasty 4/3 that recurs effortlessly -a 4/4 that gains 4 and sometimes...
