No, I think this is less cool than you and Safra think it is in Cube, but I also dislike it for what it means for the viability of odd and even companions in constructed. I just don't like permanent forms of protection all that much, even when it involves choices and you probably won't block...

So Haktos was cool, but caused feelbads? You're really selling this card to me Safra :P ;) I agree the flavor of the card is nice, but I'm not touching that card for the same reason I'm not touching most cards with permanent protection. Like with most of them, Haktos will sometimes just randomly...

Curse of Predation is busted. I tested Curse of Stalked Prey for a while as an alternative, and it was still too snowbally. I actually really like this ability on a 4 mana body, definitely going to test!

Green is hogging too much quality anyways, nowadays, I'm okay with the other (nonblue) colors sharing in green's wealth of mechanics a bit ;) Verge Rangers looks definitely testable for cube as well. That's a good effect on a good body, in a color that can use all the (virtual) card advantage...

I think you're wrong there. White has long had a history of keeping up with your opponent as far as land drops are concerned, from Land Tax to Weathered Wayfarer. This is just the first time it can only do so from the top of your library instead of the whole library, but that doesn't make it...

It's a mana cheaper, and I run a cube with a focus on three-color shards. White is paired with black and red. This is a great signaling tool, a great reward for going Mardu, and still playable in non-Mardu white decks.

That's why I was withholding my (final) judgment :) Truth be told, I missed the commanders. This one's pretty perfect for my cube, I think. Two relevant creature types, and nice build-around potential!

HOLY SHIT! Mythos of Snapdax is perfect for my cube! This gets swapped in for Tragic Arrogance right away! Day 2 has been treating me a lot better than day 1 ;)
