The art is sweet :) I remember playing with it in a casual deck, back in the day, and it was pretty solid. That was a long time ago though, no idea how it would play out in a modern cube environment, but it does trigger some nostalgia in me ;)

Ah, the mana rock discussion sneakily pops up again :) Cultivator's Caravan turned out to be an excellent vehicle in my cube, because of the shift to 3 cmc mana rocks and 5 cmc wrath effects! The crew 3 does sting sometimes, but as a 5/5, it routinely attacks better than any of the creatures...

The difference is that actually making everything {1} cheaper means that you can sequency multiple cards in the same turn, e.g. two (originally) 2 cmc cards on turn 2. So it might be easier, but it won't be the same experience.
