Now that is a good question. They've been printing full cycles of powerful gold uncommons in all ten color pairs for a while now. Was it Theros (four years ago) where they started this? So, WotC has at least somewhat backed enemy color pairs for a while now. So maybe it's something else? Maybe...

Allied fixing is the norm because allied color pairing is the norm. This "half" land cycle "bullshit" is pretty much dictated, or at least inspired by the color wheel. I don't mind too much either, I can just print proxies for the missing lands.

If you don't believe this, just watch this video from a few years back (don't know what set this is from, but I think Khans?) There's multiple cube owners on this forum who have already done so, including me.

There's also a mini Overrun that grants +2/+2 (and trample) for {3}{g}{g}. I've always found Overrun hard to cast but borderline overwhelming at +3/+3 when you did get to cast it, so this might be something I'ld be interested in? Then again, +/+2 is sooooo much less than +3/+3...

By the way, I really love the order of the spoilers, I think they did a great job of slowly spoiling the storyline there. Only now are we seeing a bunch of cards that depict what happens after Bolas arrives... and leaves. Sweet stuff!

I realize I have more room for guild cards than most cubes, so the bar for entry is a bit lower, but I do think this card plays much better than it looks at first glance. I'm going to try it out anyway though, so I'll let you know ;)

Ugh... No. I feel that you are completely misevaluating the card. I agree that Mind Rot is a straight-up 23rd card, but you're completely ignoring the fact that the Mind Rot part is not actually taking up a slot in your deck! I was looking for more looters actually, to support the Drake Haven-style cards Amonkhet gave us. Incidentally I've seen plenty of games go to seven mana in my environment, so that's not a barrier for this card in my cube. FWIW, I do think you're putting too much weight on the eternalize cost...
