    General Revisiting "Squadroning"

Next cube session is in two weeks, so I could also just pull the trigger and squadron all of these so I can give you proper feedback on how bad of an idea squadroning some of these is :D

    General Revisiting "Squadroning"

There already is an enchantment theme in my cube, and Eidolon of Blossoms is good in that, but it seems exactly the card you wouldn't really be happy with unless you played a lot of enchantments? I am definitely undervaluing Blood Artist it seems, maybe I should move one of them out of cube...

    General Revisiting "Squadroning"

I've never seen two in action at the same time, that might be more brutal than I imagine. It is a card I doubled up on, but which I'm considering for squadroning instead.

    General "Draw a card."

My gold section, especially Azorius, probably isn't the best representation of the power of my cube though. I deliberately run only one multi-color planeswalker (Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas) to keep down the number of planeswalkers in my cube, no hexproof to keep games interactive (so Geist is out)...

    General Revisiting "Squadroning"

Currently contemplating the following cards for Squadroning, what do you think? Champion of the Parish Ajani's Pridemate Cloudfin Raptor Ghostly Flicker Blood Artist Grim Guardian Generator Servant Young Pyromancer Eidolon of Blossoms Life from the Loam Birthing Pod Perilous Myr Springleaf...

Sets [KTK] Khans of Tarkir Spoilers

Munchkin is responsible for what is probably my worst gaming experience ever. I've played games that just didn't pan out (Thunderstone Advance comes to mind as a recent example), but none of those left the playgroup grumpy, down and irritated at each other quite like the last time I played...

Of course Commander doesn't have to be free for all. Star Magic or 5 Player Collapse are fun formats for specifically 5 players, but Attack Left is also quite good.

I wonder if Ninjutsu will be a returning mechanic... Edit: Because out of all existing non-morph mechanics, it feels the most sneaky, and thus a good fitting mechanic for the Cunning clan (Jeskai? {w}{u}{r} in any case).

    General "Draw a card."

I could see playing all of the except Sage of Epityr, that card is just terribad. Court Hussar is also a bit suspect, as it really isn't worth it without the body, and {w}{u} has better options.

    Sets [C14] Commander 2014 Spoilers

That made me chuckle out loud :) Bad taste is totally excusable though, as long as it doesn't harm good taste. The economy thrives on bad taste. One could argue bad taste does harm good taste, as in: every penny spent on another Monopoly clone could have been spent on developing a good game...

    Sets [C14] Commander 2014 Spoilers

Incidentally, Boggle is one of my favorite games. For real. Somehow I ended up with four different copies of the game. That is, until we moved and I kept only one of them.

General Jitte and assorted GRBS, P1P1, etc.

Ridiculous. It is very hard to evaluate at first glance, but it is usually a better target to tutor for than Sundering Titan or Sphinx of the Steel Wind. If your opponent has nothing, he will die faster. If he has something, you get to keep 4 1/1's. As a 7-drop it is awesome, but I would highly...

General Jitte and assorted GRBS, P1P1, etc.

I used to have Myr Battlesphere and Sundering Titan in my cube, because that's what everybody tells you to do if you, as an aspiring cube owner, are trying to read any cube-related strategy pieces you can find. Sphinx was never in my cube because I hate protection and, to a lesser degree...

General Jitte and assorted GRBS, P1P1, etc.

Why would you put Tinker in the same cube as Sphinx of the Steel Wind? Why would you put Sphinx of the "Oh Look I Got Protection From Two Colors And I Am Immune To Doom Blade And Go For The Throat As Well Did I Mention I Have Lifelink No I Didn't Think So Yes You Can Have My Autograph" in your...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

The Caller is a way better card I think, it means a lot that it is one mana cheaper. You need 8 creatures to die before Fresh Meat produces as much power per mana spent as Caller of the Claw, and needless to say it's a lot easier to keep 3 up than it is to keep 4 mana available.

    Sets [C14] Commander 2014 Spoilers

Haha, fair enough. I still think commander has a lot more to offer than Monopoly/Catan/Munchkin though, it's still Magic after all. I can understand how highlander free for all might not be everyone's cup of tea, but each commander shapes its deck in unique ways, so you often have different...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

I didn't know about that card. Onslaught block was the block I sat out, so it's a bit of a blur. Around Torment my parents threatened to cut their financial support of my study. Rightfully so, because, frankly, I was spending their money on Magic cards instead of on my study. Come Fifth Dawn I...
