Extricator is sweet, I'll have to try that Bygone Bishop has been a lot better than Mentor of the Meek for me. The type of deck that has a bunch of cheap creatures usually wants to curve out and use the relatively low cost of its threats to develop its board more and more quickly. Having to...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

The threat of it plays a big part - it effectively 'locks out' X/1s since you can always pick them off if it's worth spending a card on that, and if you have enough graveyard interactions the dredge can be roughly equal or even better than a card (also, decks that have a lot of cheap creatures...

Best green aggro card: Warden of the First Tree Green aggro is great but the whole point is that you don't have to (or get to) run many 1-drops*. Your 2-drops are strong enough (especially the gold ones) that you don't need to curve out perfectly to present a good offense. *I've seen...

IMO Innistrad is better at highlighting another important design principle: you can put as much cute stuff in your format as you want but it doesn't matter if you don't have the time/mana to cast your spells

    General Rethinking Color Mana Curve

In a Cd deck (i.e. a deck that's predominantly C), sure, but a CD card can fit in a Cd or Dc deck whereas 1DD is likely off the table in Cd and vice versa

The Bant Flash decks in Standard with Advent, Snapcaster, Resto, Sphinx's Revelation, and a bunch of Charms were really fun. Torrential Gearhulk on Advent is a Cube bucket list item

That's been my experience with a lot of the Commander cards: they look sweet but it's hard to imagine a deck where they shine unless they're the best things going on

How often do you use the ultimate or -3 on Vital Force? I like the idea of it as a weird grindy card but isn't the normal play pattern bashing with 5/5s instead? (aka the Tezzeret problem)

Current Cube isn't in a CubeTutor-worthy state yet so don't feel obliged to draft that one, will hopefully fix that soon though (and it will crib heavily from Shamizy's too)

    RESURRECT DEAD ON PLANET JUPITER

That's one of the things I really like about the MTG Cube blog by Nick West - it seems like he builds sample decks for an archetype as a reference point for what the ceiling is for that strategy, which opens up a lot of design space

    General Ixlan Spoiler

If only there was a bespoke Wildfire-esque effect that could trigger Enrage for cheap without killing your dinos... re. Legion's Landing, I find my 'aggro' decks are more interesting and contextually powerful when they are less about piling on damage ASAP and more about building a board...
