    Diakonov's Cube (450)

Currently I run a set of duals, a set of shock lands, and a set of fetches in addition to what I mentioned above. Some players in my group have commented on how easy it is to straight-up run three colors, often easily splashing a fourth or fifth. I want people playing more than one color, but...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

I'd still say it's an aggro card, just a tiny bit slower than most. It has a higher ceiling though. and man oh man with Deathrite Shaman

    Diakonov's Cube (450)

So I'm thinking of cutting back one row of fixing. Each color pair has a painland (except GW, which has Horizon Canopy). Each of the allied color pairs has a fixing manland, and each of the enemy colors has a check-land (Isolated Chapel and friends). What do I cut? Should everything be...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

Speaking of Phantom Nantuko, I love Judgment. Some other potential cards that spring to mind: Anurid Brushhopper Wonder Anger Glory Also, this card is kind of sweet: Blight

    Diakonov's Cube (450)

With my next update, I think I may try breaking singleton AND keep the double-pick mechanic. For example, Gravecrawler will no longer be a double-pick and instead there will be two separately in the cube. Anyone have any other suggestions for that? Mogg Fanatic and Fume Spitter continue to...

    General Multi-Picks

With something like Champion, I only really see two possible scenarios: 1. Wheel it because why in the world would someone else take this; 2. Someone else takes it hoping to also go Humans, and now you have screwed each other pretty hard. Maybe I'm underestimating Champion, but he seems...

    General Multi-Picks

A large part of the fun of building a great aggro deck is purely from the designing perspective. Sure, aggro has a tendency to autopilot once you play, but the key is getting satisfaction out of the architecture. Mono-red aggro was particularly boring because both the games AND the draft were...

    Article Goat Tribal

There was once a guy who ran a blog in this style for designing Vintage decks. He referred to them as "e-books" and wouldn't write the next one until someone donated $1. http://topsecrettechnology.blogspot.com/2011/02/e-book-about-ichor-wellspring.html

    General Multi-Picks

People seem to be enjoying it in my playgroup still. I will be sure to give an update if that changes. I purposely doubled up on more cards than I thought was reasonable at first, so I anticipate at least dialing it back a bit in the near future.

    General Multi-Picks

Well it's not so much that it isn't worth a pick (in most cases) but rather it makes the drafting process far less boring while still allowing reasonable access to competitive aggro. If I put all those double picks into the cube as regular breaking-singleton picks, the cube would be full of...

    General BANG! Cube Injection

I think it actually fits the flavor better, too. The noble Deputy is willing to die in the name of justice. Although the Outlaws share a common interest in killing the Sheriff, they are ultimately self-serving.

General How do YOU plan to use the various Conspiracy cards?

There are a handful of cards I'm definitely going to try. I plan to throw some of the more interesting drafting bots into my main cube and see what happens. As far as cards with the conspiracy mechanic goes, they seem perfectly suited for the Utility Land Draft (except for a couple which might...

    General BANG! Cube Injection

In my experience, if the Outlaws reveal themselves by attacking the Sheriff, then the Sheriff, Deputy, and Renegade will immediately try to kill an Outlaw. Remember that the Renegade wants the Outlaws to die first as well (at least one of them, so they can't kill the Sheriff too quickly)...

    Card/Deck Token/Sacrifice themes in Red

I've been using that in my Utility Land Draft. It's definitely strong enough.

    General BANG! Cube Injection

Once a player dies in BANG! draft, you'd be surprised how quickly the game collapses. This isn't inherently true in EDH games. Also, The Resistance is awesome. We've been playing the Avalon version a lot lately.

    General BANG! Cube Injection

I forgot to mention this, we've played this way once before also. I'm not sure which I prefer. I feel like it might be more important in 7 player, especially.

    General BANG! Cube Injection

We all know the tragedy of being stuck at 5 or 7 drafters. Fortunately there is a cure: BANG! Draft. Disclaimer: this is a multiplayer format. I usually don't enjoy multiplayer, but this format is an exception. I implore you to read on. Anyone who has ever played BANG! will immediately...
