    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

fwiw it was a lynchpin of UB rez in its limited format

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

i like it, IF you are big-reanimating in B and big-ramping in G. if you’re doing neither, it’s just a MUCH worse Curator of Mysteries. but the basic design of “cycle it now or make a fatty later” is great and the static effect is pretty deece

it’s actually great if your whole cube costs 1 or 2 mana

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

i haven’t run GST in a long time and don’t really feel the need to. it just doesn’t mesh with what my WU section wants to do, and i agree that it’s narrow and rather polar. if you want to support a WU tempo deck, check out that new Dennick maybe?

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

i’m also considering Ludevic, Necrogenius as a decent defensive body early that can turn into a big threat later. am i crazy?

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

Dennick, Pious Apprentice Would this card work in a high power setting? I’m always looking for UW cards that aren’t just “wrath/counter with upside” (i like those in moderation ofc) and dennick seems pretty deece? maybe?

    General Dual Faced Cards

yeah there’s just no grokking the double novella dfcs lol

    General Dual Faced Cards

this is something i’ve been coming around on a bit. since i played the MID prerelease i think maybe i’m just gonna try some DFCs as is. but i want to keep it to a low quantity. thanks for the card dump, this will be a good place to look for possible includes!

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

yeah the izzet guildmage is pretty deece, forks all your cantrips and bolts and has a fine floor as an easily castable 2/2 for 2

Sets (MID) Innistrad: Midnight Hunt Testing/Includes Thread

i think it’s just harder to trigger Geist than Sprout personally, i’m on Sprout but not Geist myself

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

yup, 100%, it’s both bad and swingy at the same time

General (AFR) Dungeons and Dragons: Adventures in the Forgotten Realms Testing/Includes Thread

i think it’s aight, i just deliberately avoid card swap effects. if you don’t, it’s a pretty deece modal draw/shatter
  13. B

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

i don’t run him on paper fwiw. i just like his design and he’s good in my artisan arena cube
  14. B

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

love him. non parasitic aggressive card that scales nicely into late game. obviously gets better with more goblins but doesn’t need a bunch to function
  15. B

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

yeah, i don’t think this card is good. you’re giving your opponent cards and chunking both players life down, which, if you have a lower curve than them and are trying to be aggressive, you’ll be hurting them less, and if you have a higher curve and are controlling, you don’t want to be chunking...

    General Logistics of Squadroning

oh and to answer your last question, i always look at everyone’s deck after the night is over to see how people are building, what they’re benching to the sideboard, etc, and so i’d just throw the hawks and such back into the BLB during that process
  17. B

    General Logistics of Squadroning

i keep my hawks, Legion Angels, and lessons in the BLB for whoever grabbed the corresponding cards in draft. the lessons and Angels have a different colored sleeve so they don’t get shuffled in by mistake.

    General Fight Club

yeah, it’s got such a cool Coven payoff and has potential to draw you like 2 cards a turn! the floor is “fine” but the hard part is getting and keeping the Coven payoff. i think the juice is worth the squeeze in CoCo-type decks like you said
  19. B

    General Fight Club

yeah, the polarizing nature of courser against proactive decks is a knock against it for me as well. and if you wanna do “lands” in green, basically every notable green 3 (tracker, excavator, witness, and then a ways further down the scale there’s Jadelight Ranger, Provisioner, Farmer) already...

    General Fight Club

i’m also kind of in the neither boat, but not really, because i’m on neither at my base size but i use both in my upsize packs. i think courser is STRONGER, but Augur does something COOLER, and both are fairly strong, probably in the top 5-10 green 3s one could be running just on power, but...
