i love this and the augur. finally a 3/1 for 2 beater that isn’t a dead draw late!

    "Fast" multiplayer cube

i like the druid as a potential 3-for-1 and because it blocks well, both being good multiplayer features. Breya has played quite well for me, and i think Managorger scales awesome for multiplayer. i haven’t tested nettlecyst but i hear good things. As far as blue cards to replace Venser and...

mannnn if it let you scry every time you sac a fetch or clue that would be DOPE i think if you’re on Stockpile already yeah it’s gonna support that deck quite well. a nice upgrade to cartel aristocrat if you’re on that

yeah the effect is super cool! it is exactly the kind of card i like having around in commander and brawl because it’s just fun to go nuts with these kinds of loop effects. it’s like a team wide version of the Halvar Sword.

sure, this is a good synergy if you have both in play at once for multiple turns. but what this is competing for a slot with is Vindicate Lurrus of the Dream-Den Vanishing Verse Lingering Souls Priest of Fell Rites Tidehollow Sculler Unburial Rites Gerrard's Verdict AND the new tiny Rites...

General Looking to reboot. Need some advice.

a lot of what you’re asking for is going to be found within the “fairmax” cube design philosophy, except for the part where you don’t want a bunch of 3ish color midrange decks. i agree with a lot of what brad said though- good fixing, narrow power band, avoid combos and fast mana and...

    Sets (MID) Innistrad: Midnight Hunt

i think we need to be careful when evaluating decayed tokens. “can’t block, sac after attacking” is a BIG drawback as the creature can only trade if the opponent chooses to let it trade, and it is only worth face damage equal to its power as it dies after one swing. that said getting 3+ zombies...

but where are you getting all these bodies to be sacrificing a creature a turn? and are the creatures you’re saccing worth less than scry 1 gain 1 +2/+2?

    Sets (MID) Innistrad: Midnight Hunt

i guess it is a sac outlet but the payoff is just scry 1 gain 1 plus a temporary stat boost, plus it costs mana to sac? this just screams “draft signpost,” i can’t see it performing over anything people are currently running for WB outside of retail cubes. the cow head is funny though

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

it’s OK. if you look at where it’s played in constructed, you have EDH, where it’s in basically any red deck just for the draw, and Legacy, where it’s in Lands as a backup for Marit Lage. I think it could be a nice, if somewhat narrow, pickup for a “big red” (plus whatever colors) archetype in a...

    General Custom Cards: The Lab

Maul gives first strike AND FLYING and is still a hard sell at high power due to the crazy equip cost after your first holder dies. Embercleave costs about the same amount of mana in practice and gives double strike and trample, and has the same problem as Maul…

    General Fight Club

so this depends mostly i think on your removal suite. if your opponents are likely to have 1-3 MV removal in hand and are going to kill your big dumb robot before you untap, Doom Engine is the easy pick in my mind as the evasion it carries is pretty OK and the death trigger will help you feel...

    Sets (MID) Innistrad: Midnight Hunt

this is kinda where i’m at. i think i could see cutting something like Maelstrom Pulse for this if one wants to be more proactive and more graveyard focused in BG. it’s a pretty good card that could be played in most environments.

https://scryfall.com/card/mid/102/ghoulish-procession https://scryfall.com/card/mid/60/locked-inside-the-cemetary what do we think of these two? Ghoulish might be kind of a big ask to really generate value, but there’s a nice ceiling there. Locked Inside the Cemetery is probably my favorite...
