yeah pretty much. but it’s an evasive body that can flash in and beat down. nice simple good blue aggro-control style card

insect has flash which is a huge upgrade for a blue creature, and still gives you the card if it’s countered- which basically means it will never be countered. the buyback is not a common thing but it’s nice to have the option lategame

i run Bombardment and Innocuous Insect currently but have only been able to cast the Insect, it’s been quite good so far. I plan to test Zyym too as i’ve heard nothing but good things about him

i mean… i run Lightning Bolt but also Roil Eruption. if the effect is a basic desirable effect, and there are two decent variants of it, is it really a deal breaker if one of the variants is a little worse than the other?

i’ll run basically any creature from 1-3MV that cantrips and has at least a decent rate if my size allows tbh

yeah Witch is kinda sorta reALLLLY good i have enjoyed Wanderer immensely in my arena artisan cube, and haven’t been able to cast him yet in the paper cube but cmon, 5/3 morbid flash for 2! FINALLY a good morbid card!

artifacts still seem kinda high? i would think you could go down there by 10-20 if you take out the ones least likely to be maindecked, maybe add a couple more cards in the mono sections or some more fixing lands. my perception of the fixing is definitely skewed though, because i’m not sure how...

i have personally found either colorless bearland difficult to justify in main decks lately, and prefer the creature duals for this purpose as they pull double duty of fixing and providing a threat rather than sacrificing your mana consistency to provide a threat

i agree that artisan restriction is almost a must for Arena cubes that you plan to play with others, as it’s VERY hard to justify spending wilds on a virtual cube experience. i’ve been hoarding gold and gems for historic horizons jumpstart, it’s gonna be great fun!
