if you want to make sure the gifts player gets gifts, you could always run a second copy… EDIT: Hieroglyphic is really really good if you want straight draw. i love that it’s a 1 mana cantrip when you need that, and is very simple on both ends. but gifts will always be my favorite blue card

FoF is fine, and more enjoyable to resolve if your players are fairly experienced. CC is just kinda weak IMO EDIT: consider also Gifts Ungiven and Hieroglyphic Illumination as options for the 4 mana blue draw instant

red has horrid “enchantress” stuff but a few cool enchantments… Seal of Fire Underworld Breach Raid Bombardment and there are a LOT of good enchantments in white now that are desirable by any drafter as removal, plus a couple nice pseudo-equipment: Oblivion Ring Banishing Light Cast Out...

if we’re talking mystery booster cards there’s actually several that are very cool. Zyym, Innocuous Insect, Lazier Goblin, Bombardment, plus some others depending on power level. Conspiracies are mega unfair broken tho

it’s a 1/1 for 4, so i wouldn’t call it super powerful… but yeah this card is just a total pain in the rumpus to resolve both the growth and the regeneration. would not recommend

it really has been interesting to see! i love threads like this that give everyone some real numbers on what is happening in our cubes. (and i think i’m still the highest for removals at 29+% haha)

current state: i run a little more than is drafted and use that. but i’m working toward… future state: i have a nice chunky set of different-sleeved “boosters” that the caster can grab so that things stay fresh every time Booster Tutor is cast.

i agree with what you said about having varying degrees of conditional removal. stuff like Bloodchief’s Thirst and Fatal Push allows you to give players a reward for drafting riskier cards like Titania that could otherwise result in huge tempo losses, while still allowing early interaction...

yeah i’d side with kirtars or rebirth

i’m ok with burn as reach, but i want players to be going into combat. if someone can just snap up all the bolts and shocks and ignore the board, that tells me i need to swap out a couple burn spells.

bigger pools are great! i do the same thing (pool of 54-56) to allow drafters to pick up 10+ lands for their deck and still have a decent sized pool. like you said, gives decks more power/consistency
