    Card/Deck Scapeshift in Cube

Are you talking like a decklist or just a list of considerations? Btw i just realized Venser PW can give you an extra landfall trigger every turn with his +

The Riptidening—Building my Cube from scratch

    1. I do like my cube now, but it has a really wide power band. I think this is caused by my attempt to fit riptide themes into the same list as sacred cows like Grave Titan and Baneslayer Angel. That's where the "pile" analogy came in-it felt like my list had a lot of good things going for it...

    Card/Deck Scapeshift in Cube

Tonight on 'What's Trending at BTP'... I think the bigger your landfall/land recursion theme gets, the more powerful Scapeshift becomes as a finite-combo card (see the Retreat to Valakut post above). Now, do you want a finite combo in your cube? Not everyone does. Do you want to proxy Scapeshift...

    Sets Battle for Zendikar Spoilers

I slightly disagree with this. The exile-matters theme has enough incidental support (see my earlier post about stuff I am running right now that triggers it) that you can probably run a couple cards that only need 1 enemy card exiled to function. Like that sexy black 3-drop that -3/-3s a guy...

Look closer, it's a one-sided Fog that can make a dude to blow you out with. Seems pretty Limited-good to me.

I really want to see someone sharpie Drana's Emissary to be good. I feel like she just needs one extra "point" somewhere to put her into contention for a WB slot—that or maybe turn her hybrid?

The Riptidening—Building my Cube from scratch

Hello again, fellow Riptiders! This thread is about a new Cube that will be born from the ashes of my current Cube. First, a little history: The design concepts I'm looking to use in my new Cube are as follows: A solid mana base. My starting package is 5 cycles of guild lands: fetches...

I'll take Bitterblossom and see what wheels—hopefully Stoneforge, Mentor, or Post.

    Sets Battle for Zendikar Spoilers

This full spoiler seems really good at first glance. I feel like there's a lot that Riptide cubes could use from this set to bolster themes or add new ones. Gotta chew on it a bit to see how it'll affect my list.

I like Zulaport Guy because he can attack and is a Human. I'll probably try him. His drawback is mitigated in the deck that likely wants him most (Bx sac).

Stuff I'm cubing that can turn on your Eldrazi Processors without requiring much from your opponent includes: Things your opponent can do to turn on your Processors include: That, uh, seems like a lot, to me anyway.

Sorry for the derail. Here's a new question: What Retreats (if any) do y'all plan to run, and why? Personally, I like the blue one a lot, and am considering the red, green, and black retreats as well. Someone mentioned that KotR is really funny with the blue one, and I want to live that dream...

Hmm. I do like me some Zombie Warriors. Maybe I'll try Fleshbag in place of Sibsig Muckdraggers (who sadly did not get a test run in during our last Cube session due to not being drawn). Still wary of having too many 3-drops though.

Everyone really likes Fleshbag Marauder! What have been your experiences with him that have earned him such a high spot? I for one am a much bigger fan of Mardu Strike Leader than I probably should be, and new Drana probably isn't making it into my cube.

One Pack One Pick (p1p1 thread)

I like the Temple and Tymaret from that pack. Honorable mention goes to Piston Sledge. Here's another one for your consideration: Grand Architect Gnarled Scarhide Pain Seer Wildfire Copperline Gorge Phyrexian Arena Porcelain Legionnaire Thran Dynamo Molten-Tail Masticore Plated Geopede...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

Well, it all depends on power level and whether your drafters like combos, really. Muzzio's Preparations + Finks is probably too powerful for most Riptide lists. On the other hand, if your combo requires you to attack or bolster or whatever to reset your Finks, that's probably not a problem...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

The interesting thing you've done with your selection of cards to rank is that Curse of Predation goes really well in the same deck as pretty much every other card on your list. Bravo. My opinion on the card is that it's hella good, but not nearly as oppressive as others are saying. (My cube...

So what are people planning to cut for Drana? I like her, but I'm having the same problem as Skrap—black threes are stacked now! (Although I'm also running 5-drop Drana so I don't feel as pressured to fit in the new one.)
