General Print this Wizards! (So I can put it in my cube)

Thinking about stabilizing as black: Leshrac's Promised {2}{B} Creature - Human Cleric Lifelink When Leshrac's Promised is put into a graveyard from the battlefield put a 2/2 black zombie creature token onto the battlefield tapped. "Faithful unto death, and even then..." 2/2 Funscorched...

Card/Deck One drops with late-game relevance

Do we all agree here that a 1/1 for 1 is really not worth a whole card on their own?

Card/Deck One drops with late-game relevance

Sol Warden is sooooo weird to me, I am always confused when I see that thin in draft. I tend to take efficient power to mana cost creatures over other chafe in control and awkward decks because you can throw them away as passable removal spells in a lot of matchups early in. Think about how...

Card/Deck One drops with late-game relevance

Rusalkas used to be good when combat damage stacked but now they are basically icecream that fell on the floor. Frenzied goblin is probz more interesting than legion loyalist. Rootwalla is great in a bunch of decks, siren is kinda a piece of shit, but there isn't much better you get from...

I think I made that card for soldier around when lorywn came out because I was trying out a soldier theme in cube! Dude you should totes post my winning decklist all of this discussion pertains to it!

That card was so good at keeping me in the game. Waiting for my pyromancers to cast her was rough though.

General Boros has a really, really boring theme. Alternatives?

Did you hear that fight of selmy vs the undefeated pit fighter. Drogo might have a chance in some sort of horse battle but one on one lance tends to beat sword in the lists and armor sword and shield tends to beat scimitar, especially given the mountain wears twice the armor a normal man does...

General Boros has a really, really boring theme. Alternatives?

I hate Book One but I'll try to play your game! I have to say I feel like I might be talking to a lot of show-watchers here though, or maybe people didn't really think very much about the books or read 3rd party stuff like I did. I see a lot of weird associations here like did bad thing =...

General Print this Wizards! (So I can put it in my cube)

the last one I made a mistake on obviously lol I like the first one best because I like that it doesn't trap things in your hand, but I could also live with this one for mega utility Disturbing Consultation {U}{B} Instant Draw 3 cards, then discard a card and put a card from your hand on top of...

Hey guys what do you think of this? {U}{B} Instant Draw 3 cards then discard 2 cards from your hand. Or this? {U}{B} Instant Draw 3 cards then put two cards from your hand into your graveyard. Or this? {U}{B} Instant Look at the top 3 cards of your library, put two of them into your hand...

General Boros has a really, really boring theme. Alternatives?

If I were to make a kingslayer card, it would probably be jamie being what everyone expects of him and it would probably be WBR. OMG Stannis the Mannis would be so hard to pin down. Actually his whole retainer is kinda a hard thing to call. Hound is way more into killing being the sweetest...

General Boros has a really, really boring theme. Alternatives?

Well i didn't mean trying to make a guy for each thing, it was more demonstrating how it's hard to really plant colours or groups or places in that show into colour pairs because of ideology vs mechanics vs flavor. Like is tywin more of a sorin or more of a elspeth sun's champion or more or a...

General Boros has a really, really boring theme. Alternatives?

Omg it's hard to know where to start really because the aesthetic of their gloomy compromised world doesn't suit card art and flavor conventions at all. Imagining starks as some goody two shoes GW group of valiant dunderheads makes sense until you start actually thinking about it. It would seem...

General Boros has a really, really boring theme. Alternatives?

I feel like I'm one of the only people that doesn't like dany but I also don't get to talk to a lot of other book readers. Even her liberation angle seems very right for red. She just wanders into places, fucks them up and then wanders out to the next grand adventure, without ever thinking about...

General Boros has a really, really boring theme. Alternatives?

Obyrn and Dany come to mind. I think Theon might have a red/x version or two. The Hussars are probably a red tribe. I feel like those books put too much emphasis on amorality and context to really have one character with one colourpie representation though. Like Jamey might well be WR during...

General Boros has a really, really boring theme. Alternatives?

Well look back to things like mercadia @Chris, think of how many cards you've seen depicted as a ruler or person of powerful character in red. Someone used to power and getting what they want. Look for the word tyrant in gatherer and what colour cards do you see. We've even seen the designers...

General Boros has a really, really boring theme. Alternatives?

actually now that I think about it, royalty and nobility are great themes for RW. A court would be a great stage for a set and a lovely place to showcase a lil depth for RW.

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

thunderbreak blocks waaaay better than other 4 options, plays better in decks that aren't filled with weenies and makes for more red decks interested midrange.
