I’ve used Facebook groups for selling high value cards over the last year with some success. Serialised cards appear there from time to time. I’ve used a UK based group to avoid international shipping, but other groups are available.

Thrive would probably not be printable in an actual set: if it didn't break standard it would probably break an eternal format. In cube it seems like an excellent way to explicitly support token decks, with the occasional opportunity to do something absurd.

Ring may well be better despite the echo because it comes down a turn earlier, which can be crucial against faster decks. Both are showing their age against modern creatures, though.

I don’t mind the mechanic: it reminds me a bit of the kindle spells in Coldsnap. I like how the spells will scale up as the game goes on. Getting sufficient density for it to be worthwhile might be difficult in cube.

If I’ve understood correctly, you would just need to use dice or tokens to keep track of your current intensity level. The only issue is keeping it clear which of your dice is for intensity, poison, experience, energy, life, etc. Isn’t it a subtype rather than spell type?

The only other card I’m looking at from LCI. that has a showcase version is Malcolm, Alluring Scoundrel. The regular art is fine if a little generic. I’m not sold on the showcase version though. The card isn’t too expensive so I may get one of each and see how they look f real. This article has...

Thanks folks! In my heart I knew that the normal version was the better choice (his posture l very unnatural in the showcase version) but sometimes it helps to have my thoughts confirmed. It’s a shame, as I’ve been enjoying a lot of the showcase treatments in recent sets.

Which Inti do people prefer? I like the showcase frame, but the standard frame version has nicer art.
