    Card/Deck Blink

Blink feels much more reasonable, playable and interesting than it did several years. I really just needed Charming Prince and Soulherder to bait me into including the archetype again.

Big fan of this card. Has a nice tension to it since it has to attack, and you have to discard your hand. It's a good signal of the archetype, and compels you to build around it somewhat. I hate madness cards that don't have a reasonable cmc hardcast, but ravager is just fine at 3.

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

I recall you growing skeptical of recruiters in your cube due to their often variance-reducing nature. Survival has that quality in spades. I long determined it to be a detriment to my format, and haven't run it in a couple years now. The lines and big plays it encourages is well-worn and boring...

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

I've enjoyed Tombstalker as a black control finisher that also has some applications in dredge and stax/wildfire strategies. Overseer of the Damned is a less powerful option as well

General Build Arounds - new angles to your draft

My favorite Twilight's Call deck was with: Flayer of the Hatebound Unlike Living Death, Call can give you the instant kill. Flayer is a lot of fun in its own right....especially with Apprentice Necromancer, Sneak Attack, etc

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

I've run the black gearhulk at several different times for the same welder reasons. Ultimately cutting it each time for being too clearly a first pick in my format, which I don't find desirable for a vanilla ETB creature. I like the card a lot, but it's proven to be a little too good in my...

Free for All is pretty cool, actually. Nice find!

    General Modern Horizons

I consider the madness archetype like the old blue green madness odyssey deck which included deep analysis, wonder, centaur garden and roar of the wurm. The mechanic is it's namesake but there's always been support from other complimentary mechanics

I really enjoy devastating dreams in my cube, but feel like you need a lot of discard/graveyard payoffs to make it a valuable pick.

What do people think of: Master Transmuter Sai, Master Thopterist didn't really make sense in my artifact archetypes, and I'm hunting for another blue card to support artifacts. I'm intrigued in its potential to further marry Show and Tell and Tinker as well as its utility in Birthing...

    Inscho's Graveyard Combo Cube

A fellow forum member recently reached out with a version of my cube that his playgroup has been testing with the storm package removed. It's pretty interesting to get a glimpse into an alternate reality of my cube. It has me thinking about which combo archetypes pivot the easiest into others...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

Sentinel of the Eternal Watch Blinding Angel Windborn Muse I loved Sentinel in my Peasant cube back in the day. It's very powerful in lower powered environments, but is a pretty fair white control finisher. Blinding Angel provides an unconventional asset to control decks, which you may or...
