    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

In cube, space is usually going to be too tight at most power levels since there are so many good 3-drops between Burn Spells and Rabblemaster Variants. Even cubes that avoid rabblebois probably aren't looking to play this since there are so many other good 3's. This card does have some...

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

I think this is actually a fun inclusion. While it can lead to a somewhat repetitive loop when it comes together, the chances that both cards survive without getting countered or nuked is pretty low. This is not like Pack Rat. Oketra's Monument is a good board advantage engine for White decks...

    Article One Card a Day

This is very true! A lot of the most interactive and elegant cards WOTC has printed look pretty uninteresting on their face, but are actually just good cards in practice. And anyway, blade is really strong. It's hardly a 9th pick. I'd say it goes somewhere in the middle of the pack, probably...

    Sets [KHM] Kaldheim Official Previews

This is the actual Kaldheim preview thread, not a leaks thread. That can be found here. Ironically, these spoiler cards are actually leaks, but since these are the official box art for the Kaldheim commander decks, I felt starting the official thread would be prudent. I retrieved these from a...

I wouldn't know, I always hand select the printing which reflects what is actually in my cube.

I have not played with the card much outside of in constructed. It does have a lot of text, but I find it to be intuitive. It's four abilities really end up feeling more like two abilities since the Token and Sac are playing in the same space and the Escape and Add counters are linked. As for...

    Article One Card a Day

Perhaps you could just write 1 post about all 10 tri-lands? I don't think they're functionally that different from one another. Alternatively, you could use each 3-color land post to discuss what you're trying to do with your three-color sections. Instead of talking about what each land does...

Omen of the Sea I think this one is even more blinkworthy than Demonic pact because it fits right on the curve before Flickerwisp. It's also functionally Deliberate in many decks, so it's not backing your drafters into a corner if they decide to take it as a speculative pick.

    Sets Kaldheim Charade

I never said I was disappointed- I literally said that I'd like to see her have a story where she gets fleshed out more. In fact, my exact words were: Kaya has been in the story for almost half a decade now and they really haven't done anything to make her an interesting person. Now that...

    Sets Kaldheim Charade

She's just a very generic overconfident character who doesn't ever grow or learn. She supposedly has some moral values that cause her to fight, but in the stories I've read of her she just feels like a random assassin character. I think the reason why she kills ghosts is because she doesn't want...

    Sets Kaldheim Charade

Packaging Leaked Looks like Kaya is back in this set. I'm not a big Kaya fan- I think she's a very boring character who's only redeeming quality is a cool character design. Hopefully she get's the "Jace in Ixalan" treatment where they tell a story where we can have a deep dive into her...

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

Powerstone Minefield can't kill the opponent's utility creatures, which is an important part of a board wipe. It also doesn't kill anything larger than an x/2. While it is good at stonewalling aggro decks trying to curve three one-drops into a Goblin Rabblemaster, that's about it. Some better...

If it were a different color it could be good, but as it stands, green is not very likely to be playing a ton of instants and sorcery spells. I think you're looking for cards more along the lines of: Tallowisp Cloudhoof Kirin Thief of Hope Blademane Baku Skyfire Kirin Tallowisp also seems bad...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

I've been mulling this over for a long time now, but I think evolving wilds is finally of the power level to be worth running in every cube. Evolving Wilds I have compiled a long list of reasons for why Evolving Wilds is actually the best fetch land and why everyone should be playing it:

Well, I'd be willing to bet we see a lot of cards with art that at least kind of works with the original border. I'm also going to guess that they use this space for a lot of high value reprints (Path and Chalice are eternal format staples, and even relentless rats is over $1 per card). So...
