This connives on etb and on death it gives -X/-X to an opposing creature, where X is it's power. This seems like a discard outlet with a lot of general value. This creates a tapped 2/2 on death, and the second ability is Blitz. So if I understand this fully, I can cast this as a 4/4 haste...

On etb, this either destroys an artifact, destroys an enchantment, exile a card from a graveyard or gains 4 life. I think I might cube this. It's so flexible!

Chief of the Forge {2}{B}{R} Creature — Human Warrior Whenever you sacrifice one or more other creatures, the Forge Chief deals 2 damage to each opponent. This ability only triggers once per turn. 3/4 I wish it said "permanents". Still, could this just be a great signpost for lower powered cubes?

Weirdest card, seiously. I'm not that high on Unluck Witness. It's not a real card on the front side (what is a 1/1 ever doing on the battlefield?) and you have so limited control over it's trigger. I guess it's a good card, but also feels kinda troublesome to get what you want from it.

So far, I haven't seen anything tempting me to put it into my cube, and I won't add any traditional 3-color cards, but I really like the mechanics! Connive is a loot variant, that actually adds power. Probably good for myself to be forced to actually win a game and not just accumulate value :D...

Yeah, I'm am where you're at. The plane looks cool and I'm looking forward to draft the set, but I have no expectations for my cube here. One thing though, that I've always wanted them to do more of, is hybrid gold card. Stuff with "{U}{W/B}" or "{W/U}{U/B}" in it's cost, or e.g. a blue card...

Pteramander It's a flying men early and later (or not so much later in some blue decks) it turns into a blue Tombstalker. It's my favorite blue 1-drop in the game.
