In a compareable set up I am only running the rex, but that's mostly for space reasons. I like the Skyturtle the most (even though I don't see why it's an enchantment, but lets leave that discussion) and I would run it if I had more gold slots. It works in both black/green and blue/black...
I might have posted about this card before as well, but I feel inclined to. That card looks very unassuming and people don't pick it up hastily, but it overperforms basically every single time it hits the battlefield in my cube's matches. Yet it is in only 0.45% percent of cobra's cubes. It' no...
Btw, I would love to get artifact/enchantment support, just like it's the default for instants and sorceries to be batched together. It would make it so much easier to support. I'm just getting away with artifacts as a theme so easily because I have such a large colorless section, but...
I was hoping for "nah, that's no problem, it's super ovious", but thanks for telling me the truth.
Maybe it's less bad with only 2 sagas and 1 class in a 680 card cube, as they are less likely to be opened in the same pack or even in the same seat?
Enchantments are the least supported card type in my cube, after walkers. You can draft a "spells deck", an "artifact deck", even a "lands deck", but no "enchantments deck" sadly. So cards like that Renewal or Geothermal Kami would be bad inclusions in the first place.
But you can combine Kor...
Do you guys think it is confusing to run Sagas and Classes in the same cube? For newbies drafting it, I mean? Will they mix them up or be irritaed when they just understood how one thing works and then they see the other (with mana costs to level or with chapters for example). I know they don't...
Artifacts and enchantments also used to be mechanically different. Artifacts were colorless (until Alara) and thus the go to version for colorless creatures too. Enchantments were colored and couldn't tap (Until Future Sight).
One general problem with enchantments, that we don't have with...
Not much, actually. Other than Drake Haven, Flameblade Adept and Glint-Horn Buccaneer I run no cards that care about other cards being discarded. And a flexible channel card is actually less likely to be discarded for value to another outlet/effect. So no real synergy there.
I think the extended art frames look even worse than regular rares these days. Why the heck is the type bar black on white? Did they try to get as many shapes and colors into one frame as possible? Messy as fuck.
But it could be? There is no reason it couldn't. Works perfectly fine ruleswise. And there are many that come close to being just one time effects.
Eidolon of Blossoms
Dress Down
Delusions of Mediocrity
Underworld Breach
Note that there is no inherent mechanical difference between artifacts and enchantments in the firdt place. They just decided to let only one tap, with a few exceptions the other doesn't get to.
Mastery of the Unseen
Has anyone ever tried this card in a cube? It creates relevant bodies (2/2s with potential upside) and the rate seems decent for lower powered cubes. And the first ability is probably a good way to make up a potential tempo loss.
An obvious comparison would be Dawn of...
