Today I got to play with real magic cards for te first time in over 2 or even 3 months, because finally, my girlfriend and I had a little time for it. I was eager to test some new cards, but we only got one game done - WHICH WAS INCREDIBLY CRAZY AND TOOK ALMOST TWO HOURS I was on {B/R}...

I think Squirrel Nest is quite a bit weaker than Chitter Spitter, or am I missing something? Barring synergies with Arbor Elf, the Anthem should put the artifact above it. That being said, I'll stick with Squirrel Nest. It's more elegant, more resonant, less silly and fits my middling power...

True, but being forced to pay 2 during upkeep sucks and might be a reason that Pyramid or Atlas will keep up. You might hold any kind of instant/flash spell, that you'd like to keep up during opponents turn, which might convince you to not pull the trigger on your upkeep. Then, if it turns out...

I think better comparison would be Endless Atlas or Sunset Pyramid.

Another thing to make sacrifice less insular is just adding a good amount of recursion. Most black decks don't mind a strong recursion engine like Phyrexian Reclamation or nice one shot effect like Order of Midnight. And with these in the deck, any nice etb creature becomes great sacrifice fodder.

I also run 4 adventure cards in white, which can all trigger it on their own.

it doesn't really synergize with anything white does in my cube (except attacking), but it's such a elegant and simple, yet tempting design.

Next time I'll be there. Really looking forward to it :)

Fae Offering I've seen a draft video or two now, and this thing seems to be easier to trigger than I thought. Did anyone around here play with this card in mh2 drafts or cube so far? I'm strongly reconsidering it as a build around card.
