I like the enchantment better, I think. You can drag the game out and it becomes a really unique Braids/Wincon mashup.

I don't think it extremely generous. Maybe you have to forego some of the other blue cantrips, but formats are starting to do that left and right. On a WCS this is a mediocre card at best. But you can amp it up! Think twice always draws a card. This can slap a Pellaka wurm or Sphinx of Uthuun...

To be frank, neither See the Unwritten nor Summoning trap are a free card from your gravetard, sitting on the backside of a very serviceable blue "cantrip". I've been trying to evaluate this as a "firebolt" that can be built around to raisle the ceiling. Thinking more into it, Nissa, Steward of...

I think more formats would want this over R // L. Don't think the issue is higher power, it's that it's more generically useful. This benefits almost any UG deck fairly equally, while R // L gets better the more you provide a framework for it. Ones filler, ones build around That name tho...

Maaaan, aftermath is so cool, these cards are so cool. This provides redundancy to two different effects in one slot, in a color pair that can happily use both halves of this. Sweet!

Card does go to your hand if it 'misses', I think. I'll probably test it in place of Simic Charm, which feels very 'flex-slotty'. Reason // Live seems like a card you can definitely build around, but is also generically useful for a UG deck. I like that gravepulses can effectively 'tutor' for...

Reason // Fight Scry 3 // Look at top card of library, if creature onto battlefield, otherwise put in hand I like this spell a lot. Efficient blue card quality spell, and then powerful green CA later. Creature onto battlefield can also be super stronk. Plays really well with a lot of what UG...

Cheaper Sphinx of Uthuun with a bit of trinket text. Neat.

The cat seems like a great solution for white in GY formats, where other colors have multiple solid ways to recur advantage from the GY. White can run into major problems with Reach as the game drags on, and this is a superb way yo fill that.

Counter unless three is better than counter unless two, and impulse is waaaaay better than cycling. This card is really solid. Miscalculation is really solid too, for sure.

I really hope eternalize is always a "4/4 black zombie token" because that makes the double strike cat pretty frickin sweet as reach and beef for Wx fast-game decks

100% speculation rn, but there's maybe evidence from Ixalan leaks that we get an enemy cycle of lands in HOU?? Based on them alternating between allied and enemy.

Ahhhhhhhhhh Crucible creature. Efficiently costed. WTF so perfect This is, by the way, kickass with Bicycle Lands, and Unicycle lands for that matter. Crucible is too, but this can also just go in more green creature decks and be a more incidental effect

    General Custom Cards: The Lab

That custom definitely feels like "can but shouldn't". It doesn't seem like a colorless effect at all, and is probably better than rampant growth, because you can have splash basics outside your deck, not interfering with your normal land base! You can grab a Wastes from outside the game without...

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

Energy is another great layer to RUG! It takes all the heavy lifting of a value engine and defines it with one resource. That deck just looks so rich and multifaceted to play :) Low powered card spotlight? RUG decks I would love to see an example deck from Inscho's environment RE: the Oath...

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

Every creative RUG deck plan I see adds 3 years to my life :). I truly think that RUG has just as much potential as more "solved" pairings like Abzan and Jeskai, and this is the solution (for applicable powered formats). Combo-control seems to fit the color pairing very well, and lends itself to...

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

Gravetroll is on the list of options somewhere for sure! However, Grillo makes a very compelling argument to at least start with the Cagebreakers and see what happens. It's a nice build around that can strongly reward a lititle cautious setup. Think I'll try them out first.
