I would agree that Brimaz is the most fair. He's the only one I'd actually want to put into one of my cubes. To be fair, I might consider the Warleader if the art wasn't such a war crime and the tokens didn't have lifelink. The lifelink is what kills that one for me.

If it didn't have hexproof, I'd be all for it. Since it does, I don't like it all that much. You'd need like 7-12 Pyroclasm/Infest effects before I'd say go ahead.

A lot of people thing he's RUG because of the vines. I think the purple vine is actually Black-mana magic and it just looks really bright because the art is in this terrible CGI style. Other than the purple vine nothing about this guy says "Red" to me.

It just doesn't matter all that much. As long as the ratios are close to correct, it really doesn't matter how hybrid cards are counted. The Selesnya section isn't any weaker just because it has a flexible card that another guild deck can use.

I put my cube up on Cobra after the video.

This card used to be played in Vintage and Legacy cubes. I think it was a staple about a decade ago, and I seem to remember it in the MTGO cubes as recently as 2015. If your list isn't super high-power, I think it's worth a shot.

I don't really want Control Magic effects in general. I don't think they lead to very interesting play patterns. I like Lay Claim because it is appropriately costed removal in blue that also has cycling, which is a theme I support in my cube.
