Card/Deck Kill it with fire (let's talk removal)

Yeah, didn't mean to come across as being critical of the entire cube. I was more curious how the power variance impacted your overall removal suite. Cards like serra angel need some breathing room to shine, while cards like grave titan can really get out of hand if they have too much...

Card/Deck Kill it with fire (let's talk removal)

hmm...there seems to be some varied power level in there. Serra Angel and Grave Titan in the same cube?

Peasentish Cube influenced by the RiptideCube

You could be right about that. Part of it too could be a player expectation issue on my end. When I see a large number of flashback cards, it makes me excited to draft aggro, since flashback provides a source of card advantage for aggro decks to compete with into the mid and late game. I...

Hellion Eruption This looks like it could be one of the winners. It’s a powerful noisy effect that rewards you for playing a large number of smaller creatures. Plus, who doesn’t like hellions.

    General Making Aggro more inclusive

Yeah, that’s a really good point, and I've more or less done that, slimming down on a lot of the old ramp options or trying to diversify them. The problem that I've ran into is that Timmy continues to overvalue the threats, but doesn’t pick up on, or really care, that the supporting...

Peasentish Cube influenced by the RiptideCube

It seemed reasonable to me http://cubetutor.com/cubedeck/165470 I liked the way the pay life reanimation spells worked with pelakka wurm, as well as the way the triple green helped push it as a reanimation target. Fixing seemed good as well, and I liked the somewhat lower power removal...

    General Making Aggro more inclusive

I should be ok running ion storm than, at least in regards to it being competitive with other removal options, as effective non-synergy removal is at a premium here, and usually carries with it a heavy tempo cost. I'm not sure how appealing it would be to run with 3 stromkirks and 3 champions as...

General How closely correlated are Draft-Dynamics and Gameplay-Dynamics?

It helps a lot that he tries to at least make fun commentary and displays a personality. His videos feel almost like magic lets plays. The other contributors generally just put me to sleep. But then again, when you look at the comments section and see nothing but technical critiques of the...

General How closely correlated are Draft-Dynamics and Gameplay-Dynamics?

It does seem to be a R/W/x deck (goblins/slide/rift/screech) dominated format, with some U/G madness and a few flavors of U/B decks thrown in, at least from videos.

General How closely correlated are Draft-Dynamics and Gameplay-Dynamics?

I love synergy in cube, it adds a ton of depth. However, you really need to have something to give context to the cards, otherwise people will feel lost in the draft. There are a few additional bullet points I like to include: cards that appear unplayable at first but scale with your...

General Riptidelab mostly-custom cube attempt #1

That seems like a good idea. Being the riptide labs custom cube, I almost feel like wizards and riptide lab has to be central to it. I don't know the backstory behind it in the actual MTGO universe though. I really like the empty world of ruins idea; maybe with flashback representing the...

Yeah, those types of details were wasted on me back than. I wanted the card to be way better than it actually was.

    General CBS

I think all that he is saying is that accessibility is important. Having 360 brand new text heavy cards is information overload, and it results in players tuning out in the draft if there is nothing to guide them in what may or may not be good in that environment. And I agree.

That card looks like something I should be running. Thanks for posting it, I didn't know it existed.
